Yes, this is how it works for MT, as MT teacher is able to complete the topics on time and move on to revision. .

I understand from dd about 1/3 of her class score very well for MT and she always comments how interesting the MT lesson is. Parents who has Zhang Lao Shi as their child's MT teacher may want to share more. Too bad no 2G parents here to feedback abt FT....

I suppose one can only comment if he or she is taught by different teachers, and hence, there is a basis for comparison.

My son has all along been taught by Zhang Lao Shi. Hence, I don't know about other teachers.

Maybe monmon31 would like to comment, as her son was taught by Zhang Lao Shi last year.

My ds's MT teacher is sun lao shi. Comment from him is that she is strict. So far,i feel that MT teacher in RMPS is good.

May I know, which chapetr of chinese is your kid doing now. Mine completed 8 and now going to chapter 9. It is on time or slow?

Her speed of teaching is fast. Last night, my ds completed the chinese workbook worksheet for chapter 9.Judging the speed of her teaching,i believe she will complete the remaining chapters (left of 3 chapters) in 3 weeks time. This is good as kids got more time to do revision and well prepare for coming two tests.

Personally, i prefer strict teacher. As one chinese saying, strict teacher produce good quality of student.

But this year, I can see my dd likes Zhang Lao Shi as she said the MT lessons are often filled with laughter, and that he tells the class many interesting stories, uses little rewards for good behaviour & achievements :grphug:

ohhhhh! Zhang Lao Shi is a very dedicated and fun teacher. He makes MT lessons really so interesting that my DS actually looks forward to his lessons that it set the tone for my son's interest in MT. Initially, I was really afraid he might be put off by MT if the teacher was strict n boring. I guess we all went through the stage before...u will know what I mean.

Do talk/email Zhang Lao Shi as he provides feedback on your child's progress and input how you can help your child improve. I was really glad he was his MT teacher in P1 and was looking forward to have him teach DS this year. Sad to say, Zhang Lao Shi is not teaching 2C.

This year, DS has the opportunity to work with Mdm Wong. So far from my contact with her, she is just as good and my DS enjoys her classes as well.
