My girl went to the bookshop and said the book is sold out. I went to popular and it's not available too sigh!

I wish the school could let us know earlier so that we have more time to source for the book.

My take on the compo issue:


1. Schools (perhaps other schools) previously could have returned the scripts back to students, only to receive complaints from parents about the scores. Hence, MOE could have decided that schools should not return compo scripts back to students to avoid such reactions from parents.

2. You have ample opportunities to help your child improve on his/her compo via the daily exercises assigned by teachers before exams. Teachers have indicated what are the areas the students should try to improve in these exercises.

Maybe the above are what the school thinks? Just my guesses....

My boy was so yesterday. I told him to ask the teacher to call me if the teacher were to punish him (just to assure him). But, seriously, I don't think the teacher will be so unreasonable.

I managed to buy the book from popular at tiong bahru yesterday. There were about 4 or 5 more copies left.
