My goodness...there seems to be a fair every other week. My DS bugs me everytime there is one to give him money to buy something.
For those who have an older child in school, is this common? :?
It is not that I do not want to spend the money but just that it is too often, isn't it? -

Please enlighten me as to what M.A.S stands for? :?

I agree with you. :celebrate:
BTW, are you joining your son for the National Museum trip? Heard that there will be a trip to the zoo next month. -

You mean we can join in too??? Must have miss reading it in the information sheet. need to check w teacher if it too late to sign up!
Heard that there will be a trip to the zoo next month.
Woa! That's nice. He's been to the Zoo a zillion times with us so it is good that he goes with his classmates for some 'bonding' time.

Actually, it wasn't in the information sheet. The teachers need parent volunteers to help look after the children. My son's teacher mentioned this in the class, and asked every student to find out from their parents whether they would be keen to help out. Hence, it will be considered as \"work\" for accompanying parents, too.famangelina31:
Again, the teachers will need parent volunteers for this trip. So, if you are interested, maybe you can ask your son's form teacher about the trip?Woa! That's nice. He's been to the Zoo a zillion times with us so it is good that he goes with his classmates for some 'bonding' time.

As for my son, he simply refuses to let me go.

I am not surprise if he doesnt want me to go too. My DS claims he wants to 'be an independent boy'. The underlying thing is that if we go, they become too restrictive in their actions...bcos we are constantly eyeing them to behave themselves. Hence, no fun...
Will consider because at least to know who he mingles with often in school! -

radin MAS - there were 8 classes, so the school name them RADIN MAS, the last 3 are the best classes, if i'm not wrong.
In another word, 6A2 was the 2nd best class, not 6A1...trust them to come up with such creative way of grouping the classes.

And on the subject of fairs.. yes! It is really one too many! And i don't find the prices that attractive either. My dd just told me that she would like to buy a national geographic science kit. But i told her i'll rather buy it from the shop.
The last time i allowed dd to buy some books, the vendor didn't even give her back her change... so we ended up paying more for the books. -

I wonder how can we feedback to school about it. :?
