my ds will be in 1g.....great to know if some1 will be same class as her........is good to have contact no/know the parents of her classmates...

Kids at p1 sometimes do not remember all the instructions of their teachers/things need them to do or follow up.....usually the teachers will get them to write in their school diary.... however,,,,,,. what they write may not be complete or simply could not understand what they have recorded... so may need to check with classmate's parents......... this can happen even to my p2
ds...... .

hope to c u during the orientation day…i believe the school will have some kinds of interaction for parents of the same class to know each others. hope from there we parents can help our kids to get use to the new environment and system faster and easier…cos is a big transition for them… from a cosy smalll place to a big school compound,bigger class and heavier school workload.

but before … i guess i may c u on the admin day…just for sharing…most of the books we can get from popular which can get a discount of 10% if not wrong … however in school we dont get any discount… we need not get the stationery from the school but some files bearing the school logo we may have to get… i wasnt awared during my ds’s orientation 2 years ago… dh got everything including optional items… costing a boom!

fyi, my ds is not from BPPS… he is in ACS (P) his pe lesson only once a week so pe attire (tank top) one set is enough…i check around my neighbourhood kids they
told me pe lessons twice a week … so if we dont do laundry everyday… may need to get two sets to be safe (in case lesson is one day apart and i c the t-shirt material quite thick harder to dry during raining season…they are on pe attire the entire day so getting 2 sets of uniform is enough.

for some kids they grow v fast…so is not wise to get too many sets… i heard some kids change their uniform every year… cos they grown too big!

if we do not buy from the school, will we still get the book list that is required? what about the exercise books? will it has the school logo? I have never study in singapore, so am not aware of the system here.

I bought all the textbook from the school bookshop. Cost me $169.25, excluding 1 book which they have out of stock, optional items and 2B pencils. Actually, I wanted to buy from Popular but my KS DH scared the books will run out of stock. ha ha…

BTW, I also bought DS name tag. $1 for 1. Haven’t order the uniforms yet cos don’t know the size. Didn’t bring my DS along today.

Oh btw, in case some of you are not aware, it’s not compulsory to buy socks with school logo.
