you can try to 'save target as' the pdf file, don't open via the link. It works for me when i try to save the attachement, i also got server error when trying to open via the link.

yes, i can login to both the school and parent portal. School portal got excerises for the students to practice on. Quite fun!
They need to submit one of the chinese assignments via the school portal, guess this is what they say E-learning.

What is the userid for the school portal? The child's birth cert no? And what is the default password? I can't login.
