Yeah quotes curious on how the allocation is done too. And, based on the earlier post, buying of uniform and books will be done during the orientatio. But on the letter, it states buying of uniform 5/11 and books 12/11 or online.
Quite a hassle to come on three days instead of one day and settle all at ago, right?

but i actually prefer having the opportunity to go to the school before the actual orientation to avoid the rush and ‘madness’ on the actual day.

hehe…though the kids wont be back till 2013, it’s fun to ‘visit’ the school …to explore the compound

From the website sch bus there is a sch bus that goes from Hougang to Bishan and upper thomson area... Next year sch bus services are currently unknown as the sch buses contract are now undergoing renewal. From the latest letter from the sch that advise us not to pay any booking for next year until the sch bus operator's contract was renewed and known.

The sch bus i called in fact was told that the uncle stays around my parent's place. Hence he is willing to drop off my son on his way back home.

For me this is what I do during the orientation… I did all within a day.
While my hubby attended the brief, I go to the bookshop to get DS exercise books etc… in fact just tell the bookshop attendant which level they have a copy of the booklist for u also.

Then I saw the uniform seller, so i go to the hall and bring DS down to buy his uniform. The madness will comes after the orientation brief. I completed all tasks before the brief ended.

Thanks for the information abt transport. Precisely, there's no news abt transport on the website and am quite concerned, should we discover on orientation day that there's no school bus coming to Bishan! Hope more info about transport is available on 5 nov.

The sch bus operator should be around during the orientation. There u will register ur interest with the address. In mid dec or end dec (I forgot when), then they will notify you which bus will be allocated to fetch ur kid and the pick up time. During my time, as there is know bus no on the website, I called the driver in fact in Nov to "chop" a seat 1st as it was a mini passenger van with only 10 seats. Do check out and beware of the timing as we stayed quite far, the time spend on the bus is quite long. My son spend like 1hr per way on the bus when he was P2 the bus would pick him up at 11:15am and only reach home at 19:30pm. That’s from Jurong to sch.

Not sure from Bishan to Sch how long it depends on the traffic condition plus how many students the bus needs to pick along the way to sch.

Actually u can now pop by to buy the uniform from the sch bookshop (level 1) or go to the supplier outlet in Orchard.
