Based on past experience, at best 10% of applicants are PRs…there are not that many PRs as I thought there are…
I believe, at phase 2c, balloting will still be required for those SC within 1km… -
Still possible due to phase 1 entries due to older siblings that are PR or transfers from another school or GEP.

thanks all for the feedback

Busymom:
holistic assessment schedule was out this wk.. very upset with my dd's pe teacher.. more than once, she extended the pe lesson and they didn't have much time for recess.(my girl is very underweight). broke my girl's spectacles on tue, didn't even want to take responsibility, didn't even bother to call mi to say such a thing happened. called form teacher and got the pe teacher to call mi. quote from her, glasses spoil, make new one. gave a lot of excuses. say my girl's glasses old(less than a yr), ask if for reading or have to wear whole day(always see her wearing the glasses, still need to ask?)..very funny right?Wintersoul15:
Hi, I am lost...term 1 gave out exam schedule stating that in term 2 week 2, there is a math test. But I did not hear any follow up on this. Is the Math test for this week still on? Has the term 2 exam schedule been given out for P2? Also, why is it that this Friday got no Chinese spelling? Anything going on? Thanks a lot. ( I tried writing email to ask the teacher..... No response...)
Erm... Don't think there is Chinese spelling every week, there were just 3 times in term 1 so far. As for Math test, can't remember offhand, but even if there is, don't think it is counted for the holistic assessment.
I haven't received any notification of test schedules for this term. -
Thanks, busyMom n Tingting. Ya… Got the test schedule… So many tests again. Is the term 1 Chinese marks considered in SA1 marks? My girl’s CL tr told me that one test in term 1 n one test in term 2, then both marks add together, take average, multiply by 5%. Then now got 2 CL written tests for term 2? Calculations still based on average of 3 papers n take 5%? But it was stated in test schedule: 5% of test 2 n 5% of test 3. So no more average? If we follow Math n EL dept, then term 2 Chinese is 10% already?

Sorry… I hv questions again. During Chinese module lesson, 3 kids were taken out of every Chinese class to go to banding room for lesson. So there will be about 12 per class ( banding room), which consists of pupils from different classes. My girl was one of the kids taken out. She is a bit frightened cos she does not have any friends in the banding class, except one boy from her class. Anyone knows why the school is making such a arrangement? How long is this banding class going to last?

Tingting, sorry to hear about that. Personally, I find that some of the teachers are quite irresponsible. One boy kicked his friends in class n poke my girl’s eyes using a pencil. Her math teacher just brushed the issue off. I don’t blame the boy cos his parents got no time for him n the maid let him have his ways. But he apologised to my girl cos he told his mom what he did in class n got a scolding from her. Then my girl fell n her lips was all red in blood. Her CL teacher told her to rinse her mouth n told her to go home, without telling me what happened exactly. I fetched my girl from school n when I saw the blood from her mouth, I was quite angry. I did not want to blow up the matter but during the Meet parents session, I spoke to the teachers n made it clear that should such thing happened again, I will not let the matter rest. I think the teachers should at least have the courtesy to call me n tell me what happened. I understand that kids play, quarrel etc. That’s fine. What I am not happy about is the way the teacher ignored the whole issue. Imagine my girl did not tell me anything, kept quiet about it n history repeats itself… Do we have to wait until major accident happens n take note? It’s not necessary to learn the harsh way…
