There are 2 boxes of Chinese word cards which are not optional items? It's coming to the end of the year, and they are still gathering dust on the book shelf.


Textbooks and workbooks can be bought from Popular, but just be careful to check that you buy the latest edition. When I bought them last year, I found that some older editions were still on the shelves. So you have to be careful.

Buying books from Popular also saves you the trouble of having to carry 2 huge boxes of books home after orientation (unless you choose the home delivery option). We pre-ordered only items that can't be bought elsewhere (files, folders, exercise books, calligraphy set, etc) and that still amounted to one big box.

from past experience, Popular will also run out of the books from the book lists…stressful for the kids to be without the books during lessons

Does anyone stay in Serangoon Ave 2/3 area? Do you know how long is the school bus journey to NYPS in the morning? What time does the bus come and fetch the children?
Am deciding if we were to send the child to school ourselves or by school bus. :?

If you have a choice to send the child on your own, you may consider doing so and then allow the child to take the school bus home, i.e. one way school bus

there are students as far as Paris Ris on two-way school bus

if you read this thread back up, you would be able to find the school bus contact

the bus route is likely to be from serangoon - bradell - lornie - adam, quite fast in the morning / afternoon

for P1/P2 - all the enrichment classes are held right after the last period such that the kids do not need to stay back in the afternoon for enrichment, and can take the 1.45pm school bus

the bus counter is at the 'Meeting Point' below the school office / hall, at the edge of the canteen

I send her to school in the morning. Otherwise, she will have to board the bus at 6.

i know the one that goes to jurong west extension took about 45 minutes....serangoon longer than that ??

Bus 26. The problem is this bus driver always park nearest to Gate A. Then he will be directing traffic at Gate B until almost all the buses have left. So bus 26 is always the last to leave the school. By then it's almost 2pm.

45mins is about right for my DD on days where there are CCAs. If no CCA, then it will take nearly an hour since it will be a full load of students.

Hi anyone can advise me...


I have received the orientation letter from the school, only the class is written on top of left hand corner, it did not stated the house colour.

Did I miss out anything? do we need to know the house colour b4 we can purchase the unform and the name tag??

Please help? :?
