haha! I know I know! Sit with your DD (i presume?) and compare the effectiveness with her. Normally, fanciful ones are not practical. I like the Lyra brand personally. Pelikan and the Stenxxx brands are also good...

Last year, I notice many fanciful erasers (of different country flags) in my DD2's drawer. Later I realised that many kids like to flock into the bookshop during recess to buy these erasers!

Any parents able to share if there is any "streaming" for P2 going to P3 ? I noe of schools which "streams" the P3 into IT, Music, Leadership, Sports classes.

Also, when do student elect their CCAs ?

DD in P2 this year and will be P3 next year. They do have streaming, but for top 3 classes only and the top 120 students in academic performance will be place in Diligence, Endurance and Friendship. Don't know whether they will continue this arrangement for the subsequent year, anyhow the school will not opening mention about this streaming.

CCA selection will be at the end of P2 final term.

My gal is in 1 Patience. Do you know if your gal has a "test" during the orientation day itself?

My frenz told me that there is a test, but when I ask my gal, she say no. ???

Then also heard from other frenz who kids from other sch, they also have a "test" on their orientation day.

I was wondering is it only my gal class dun have test???

My DD is in 1D-Confidence. She didn't mention any tests on the orientation day.


One thing left me scratching my head is the logic behind naming the classes. Why don't they just use something like 1D-Diligence, 1C-Confidence etc? Instead, they have names like 1A-Patience :faint: (if i remember correctly). It's really not that hard to think of a good word starting with \"A\" right? Aspiration, Ability, Ambition, Appreciation, just to name a few.
