Thank you cftongtan for updating on the P1 orientation date. It’s useful for me.


Sometimes, schools will trial class allocation on the orientation day. The first cut will be mostly random, just to ensure gender and racial mix and spread as they do not have information on most individual kids yet. On orientation day, the school personnel may make observations of the kids and then there will be changes. That’s also the time for parents to approach the School personnel if they have specific needs or requests.

Well, my gal should be in P1 2013 but we are overseas. We’ll be back to Singapore and RV for P3. We are doing what we can for our two kids to stay connected (I have a younger boy) such as getting books and RV’s assessment papers in time to come. But have to DIY. We’ll also aim to have short stints at RV when possible during this period of absence. I really appreciate whatever information and updates from parents like you. I’ll ask the School for help too. Many thanks in advance.

Anyone knows if being an ex-student of RV High School is considered an Alumni to RVPS?

Hi, anybody kids is in Alphabet Playhouse, after school student care centre at Dublin Road. Is it good? How is the grades of the child if he/she is in the centre? Are the centre’s teachers academic inclined? As for the meal provided in the school, is it passable or palatable? Any idea? or any recommendation for after school care centre around the school vincinity. I am very keen to enrol my kid in the centre and is trying to find out more. Thanks in advance for sharing.

RV high n RVPS not afiliated
so ur ex-student of RV High School may nt be associated to RVPS
anyway you can call RVPS to check with the admin
They are quite helpful

Rive Valley High, the secondary school is not affiliated.


I also learnt that RVPS hasn’t got an "Alumni Association", so there is no advantage registering as an alumni with the School. Parents who were from RVPS get into Phases 2A2, not 2A1.

I’m keen on information on after-school care around RVPS as well. Most importantly, whether there is help with shuttling the kids from School to the after-school care?

I do hope that RVPS will have an after-school care within its school premises. That will be such a great option for parents.
