I don't think they are affiliated. Even if they were, there is still a cut-off point, albeit lower.

Hi, my DD is enrolled in RVPS (class 1E).... anyone has any idea what to bring for 1st day in school? Based on the list provided by RVPS, we will have to bring all 1A text/workbooks, quite a heavy load! Thanks.

Anyone has kids going to class 1E as well? We can chat together.... happy new year....
          Hi Zioner

Happy New Year to you...my DD is in 1E (Graciousness) as well. How's your DD coping in school. Mine forgot to bring her water bottle yesterday during recess :faint: . Luckily the catered meal has ice-milo...heng ah...

Btw your nick is \"Zioner\", are you staying around Zion Road?

Yup, am staying at Zion Road. Nice to hear from you... are you staying there too? Anyway, she is coping well so far, only complain of hunger when school ends. She bought her own bowl of noodles today, so proud of her. My DD sits in the rear right table in class (DD say there are 5 cluster tables with 4-5 students each).

Hi, how's yr DD or DS first day of school? It was exciting both for my DD and myself! First, I was glad she's in the PM session, no rush in the morning. Recess was chaotic, more for parents trying to spot their kids. I couldn't spot her till the last 10 mins of recess. I didn't see many kids buying their food. Does anyone knows what they sell in the canteen? How much does food cost, so I can gauge how much pocket $ to give? Thx!

              hi.

my son is in p3 this year. during his time, we catered food for him. don't they have this practice now? he only needed to get his own food from feb onwards.

as to what food they have, base on what i can recall, there's chicken rice, fishball noodles, western food, snack, muslim food etc.

i give my son $1.50 pocket money daily. he usually have balance for the piggy bank. ๐Ÿ™‚

I had a bad experience on Day 2 of school. I went to the canteen to watch my DD during recess. As I walked ard the canteen perimeter to the lift outside the library, I was on the "wrong" side of a table barrier set up by the PSG volunteers. One parent volunteer (eurasion-looking) saw me, and impolitely asked me to go to the other side immediately. Her tone was aggressive and I was literally cornered against the wall. Thank goodness there was another Chinese parent volunteer intervene, tone the rude fellow down, and politely requested to go the other side. I thot the ang-moh-looking one really gave the PSG a bad name!

Donโ€™t worry, some people are just like that.

                    hi.

i suppose you can email the school to feedback about your expreience.

we are all parents and have kids in the same school. especially on the first few days of school, it's natural for parents to sometimes wonder into the 'restricted' zone. they just need to politely tell the parents and i believe almost all will co-operate.

                        Dear parents.. hello !! ๐Ÿ™‚

I been reading this thread but still not too sure how things works to get my son admitted to RV primary.. so hope some can help shine some light..

we are Singapore PR. I live next to the school (less then 30 steps from door to door)

I wonder how secured are we to get my son to this school 2 yrs later.. do we need to volunteer? is the closenest to my home sufficient ? or is this school so popular and in high demand that i should do volunteer work to secure a placement?

i surf in MOE website phase system but i dont read any regard about close proximity btw school and home..

hope someone can give me some advise... thks in adv
