Hi, I’m wondering if anyone has been a member of the Parents’ Support Group (PSG) or volunteered for any school event(s) before? It will be great to hear your experience if any. Thank you.
About learning Chinese… I think it is important to instill love for the Chinese culture and interest for the language. To me, it’s a fine art of balancing between making the learning enjoyable while pushing my kid to do more writing and more exercises. Not easy.
With so little time with them on a daily basis, I was so torn between giving them a good sample of the English Language versus exposing them to Chinese mandarin. The kids were picking up Filipino-accented English then. I was glad my child started learning to speak mandarin in preschool with a wonderful Chinese teacher. -
Dear all
Looking forward to the orientation?
Wonder anyone here has been thru the orientation,
what are there to be expected? Any parents w Kids already in RV can share? :thankyou: -
Dear All
I am also looking forward to the orientation… Also looking forward to registering for the school bus. Hope that the route they plan will be as short as possible.
My girl is a slow-warmer and usually quite clingy to us when in a new environment. Hope she will feel at ease with the school as soon as possible as moving to a totally new environment will be a big step up… -
Hi erichew,
My girl too, she needs time for new environment adjustment. -

Hi
My DS is in P2 this year and DD will be joining him next year. For orientation, usually there will be introduction on the School. We should receive a letter regarding their classes before orientation (not final, class and form teacher may change).
In the hall, the kids will sit in front according to the class and parents at the back.
During my boy's time, we stayed at the hall to watch the presentaion and the teachers brought the kids back to class. My DS shared that they did some drawing in the class.
Hopes this help
