Did u sign up school transport for your child with Poh Lee bus? My kid got the ribbon when we sign up during p1 orientation.

Feel that the transport company has poor coordination. The bus went round Tiong Bahru estate after picking up my DS and then went past my pick up point again.

They also made my DS and some other kids waiting along the main road under the sun for the pick up instead of the sheltered driveway which less than 50m behind the pickup point.

Do you think it is good to feedback your concern since is so near to the sheltered driveway? Not sure how they do planning! Haiz!

        Hi cftongtan

Yesterday the bus arrived at the drop-off at 7.10 or so. Today was late, considering that we stay in Cantonment. It arrived after 7.20.

Thank you. I thought normally small buses will be home earlier. Heard is routing to Orchard.

My DD school bus is quite good going to school. But the going home route is terrible. From the school next to leonie rd, then make two rounds at river valley rd area near to great world city, then to orchard rd, Kim seng rd, then to Strathmore ave… Reach home around 730pm for the past 2 days

Any parents can share with me whether the schools have a place for the kids to keep their books? Coz I received a letter from her P1 teacher to bring lots of books to school for the next 3days. I wonder is it meant to keep the books there so as to lighten their school bags moving forward?

Hi parents, may I know what time did ur children got home after class? My usually reached at 7:30 pm. Staying at strathmore ave. Anyone staying at Redhill? Roughly what time will the bus reach ur area? Thank you.

                Hi cftongtan

I am staying at strathmore ave also. My DD may be taking the same school as your kid. Both days they reach home around 730pm. The route back is terrible. I intend to call up the transport company to see if they are doing any re-routing coz its really too long a journey, stretching all the way to Orchard and back. It's terrible.

I stayed at Tiong Bahru area reached home also 7.05pm like that...

I think they started to drive off from school is very late 6.45 & queue up for each bus to go off...
My hubby said some bus went all the way to Jurong I don't know if its true

Teachers will help to keep the children books that is why we have to bring all the required books there in 3 days

Yesterday the school was very strict, banned all parents to get near the P1 even canteen also cannot see them, I find like army camp so strict 😞

Parents, for the issue of bringing of books and files to school for P1, first few days is always like that. I had my fair share of worries and headaches last year too when comes to packing and labeling. If you find really too heavy for your kids, spread the things and bring it over a few days. That’s what I did, no choice as I don’t want overwhelm my child then.

Regarding the school bus issues, always good to feedback to the bus coordinator and see what she could do. There were alot of hiccups on the picking up and dropping off points that needed to be fine-tuned.

This year my gal in P2. 1st day bus late for 30mins and made the students on the bus late for school. Bus company did not give any reasons for being late even, not to mention the bus auntie with a real attitude problem. Called the bus coordinator while waiting for the bus and hp was turned off. Then on return trip, bus has no auntie at all. Then this morning, bus drove off while the students were standing looking for seats (no sure these students, including my child found a seat at all), then plus the bus auntie shouting at these poor kids… Haiz… really no eyes to see! I most worry about the safety issue…

verykiasu, yes, you are right, for pm session, bus starts about 6.45pm. Cos younger kids, they more careful, will do proper headcount and make sure students are in the correct bus...

sounds scary, I think the bus company is nt v reliable

we waited 30mins for the school bus on ist day as well & was told the kids at the front stops delayed…and I think they don’t really bother if the kids buckle up…my boy has been on school bus since N1 most of the bus assistant will make sure kids are seated and buckled properly before moving off…
