          hi jodi_mum…

Hope your girl is not too stressed with the tuition…
I understand that there will be stimulus-based conversation assessment this week, however seems like the teacher has not really started practicising with the class yet…You have any news on this?

            Hi plan2012

haha so far ok… no choice leh… helps to take some stress off me 🙂

ya actually i didn’t even know about this stimulus-based conversation assessment until her form teacher sent us an email to inform us about it. She shared some tips on how to help our kids prepare for this. Not sure you will find it helpful

            1. Get the children to talk. About anything. Their favourite toy, place, teacher, …, what they aspire to become, etc.

            2. Encourage them to elaborate on their points. E.g. Why is a place their favourite? Why they want to be _________?

            3. Encourage them to use the correct tenses.

She said she will be giving them a couple of examples to practise on…

Hello! May I ask if P2 kids stay back in school after formal school hours? Are there any CCA or remedial lessons conducted by the teachers? If they do, can I have an indication of how frequent these take place? Thanks.

For P2, school formally ends at 1300. Parents picking up their kids can bring them back, whereas for students taking bus, they usually need to wait until the dismissal time of upper primary at 1330. This meant buses would leave at around 1345. Some students can take lunch during this half hour break. Their teacher usually accompanied them.

There are no CCA for P2 yet. Remedial classes are held for both English and Math and weekly. For the first term, the remedial classes start around end Jan or early Feb and end two weeks before March holidays.

                    Hope these info help.

Thank you Bridgette. Yes, this is very helpful. One more question please. What time does the weekly English/Maths remedial end please?

It depends. Each class duration is about an hour and either scheduled at about 1400-1500 or 1500-1600. If the child is required to attend both classes, the teacher usually tries to schedule both remedial classes on the same day. If this is the case, the lessons would end at 1600.
