If i am not wrong, from this year onward P1 - P6 all in morning session. I do not have maid and grandparents to help out, so i let my P1 Boy and now P2 to take a school bus services, the bus will drop him at the childcare centre and the childcare teacher will fetch him to the centre. I just got a new maid and she will fetch him fr childcare centre around 6pm.

Hi Anna, which childcare does your child attend and is the BASC services good? Are you staying <1km or <2km from the school? I intend to apply for 2011 registration but not sure of the chances…and its now in teck whye…

My son is in before school care - Cherie Heart located at the Limbang Shopping Centre. BASC mean bus services? basically i do not have any comment regarding the bus service, not sure what is the arrangement in school but so far my son never miss the bus lor.
I stay within 1KM fr DLS and got in DLS via balloting. So far, i am satisfy with the school but the only disadvantage is too many "off" days such as parent teacher meeting day etc.
If you stay more than 1KM and in phase 2C, i am quite sure that you will not have any chances as balloting already required for those staying within 1KM. You may need to consider how to get in phase 2B

May I ask which BASC you have chosen for your child studying at DLS? For lower primary P1-P2, I assume it is afternoon session till 6pm? If you are a full time working parent and normally finish work at 7pm earliest, how do you manage to pick up your child after school? Will you ask your child to wait at school if you do not have a maid or grandparents to help out?

Please comment or your advise is very much appreciated.

Starting this year, there is only
single morning session only. You should look
for BASC which is more flexible on their timing for pick up. There are some BASCs near DLS old premise at yew tee. The problem is these two years the school is shifted to teck whye. You may look around for BASC at teck whye and judge yourself which one is more convenient to you.

hi parents tmr is 1st day sch for my son who is p1 ignatius n william house. Anyobe else child is in same class.i intend to let my son take sch bus.heard there is a bus picking up at blk 544. However i later found out there is another tpt pick up pt opp limbang nex to d post box which is v near for me. Ayone knws the contact or bus no. Of this limbang pt.

another worrying thing is tat d sch say parents cannot go in on 1st day itself we hv to send off our kid at d gate. There will be some student leaders guiding. But hw will they knw which bus is he gonnna take in the afternoon bak hme. I need to show my son at least which bus he is gonna take but i cannot enter then hw.any parent knws pse enlighten me thks

Do you know the number of the bus that your kid is taking? I understand each of the bus will display their number, e.g. No 2, on their window.

hi not sure but this morning i saw big crowds of de lasalle kids wating opp limbang and there was a big red bus no. 5A waiting at the road. if that is the bus i don know later i will go abit early to check the bus at the sch. can we go in

The bus driver passed a badge to my daughter when he picked her up this morning. The badge has the bus no on it. He also gave us the bus number plate when we booked, she memorized it.


I think the P4 buddy will look out for your son.
