I would like to revive this thread.

I now have two children in PTPS and both are doing very well. In fact, they both enjoy going to school and that is an important factor for me.

I did not know much about the school in advance, but I must stay that it has really done a great job at nurturing my children. It is, by all accounts, a very caring school. It is not a pressure cooker school and I take that to be a good thing. It’s a very diverse school, along many dimensions, and, again, I take that to be a good thing. I want my children to mix with others from different backgrounds - this is what helps them to grow their own personality.

The school just received a new principal (as of 2023). I hope she can continue to make this school great, in terms of inclusion and academic success. I also hope that the CCA program will be expanded to raise this school to compete seriously at the national level. The students are certainly up for it.
