Agree but still harbouring hopes of training ds to be independent/responsible for his own work.
For a pupil to do well, it's now a \"family effort\" thing. And he/she has to do consistently well. I'm now like my dd's personal assistant - finding out important dates and what's tested, emailing teachers when necessary. -
ya la no choice...to prevent 'heart attack' if we were to know the work to be done onnlyyyy at the last min ... :faint:

it's quite hard, especially when there are parents like myself who try to help as much as possible. i dislike this system, but i am partly to blame and i can't help it. hey we are kiasu parents right?

I dislike this H.A. too. I couldn't remember this show and tell because I didn't take a snap shot of the breakdown of the assessment. Why didn't I take? Just because they mentioned that the slides will be put up on the website on the following Wednesday. I already have the reputation of a 'concerned mother' amongst the teachers. This assessment will make me worse than concerned. :x -

my p3 dd brought back the thick hard cover H.M reading book yesturday. She loves the stories in it. I also found it pretty interesting with nice pictures illustrations. From the stories, they are able to learn more vocab too ..

If the school continues to take in 330 students every year, it is very difficult for them to move to single session. They do not have enough classrooms. I had been hoping that by next year they will move to single session as I will have a p1 and a p3 next year. But I think single session next year is not possible at all. -
Need to ask⦠are the upper primary students having their sports day next week?
