      Hi everyone,

Anybody's child from 3A to 3E? Are you letting your children participate in the coming camp at the Zoo?
No I will not be letting my child participate as we've something on on saturday and I don't feel safe about letting him spend the nite at the zoo.

        Hi MMM,

Oh I just told my DD to submit the cheque and consent form to her form teacher. I emailed and asked the teacher-in-charge, Mr Goh, some questions and he explained and answered them all.

I find that it may be a good exposure for the pupils so I let her go 🙂

I checked with the teacher-in-charge, Mr Goh. He told me that pupils will be sleeping in tents. Boys & girls will be separated.

                1) Teachers and instructors will be sleeping at the campsite too.

                2) Pupils will be asked to drink water very often to reduce heat stroke. Activities will be conducted in the shade wherever possible.

                3) Instructors will have basic first aid knowledge.

                4) A buggy will be stationed at the campsite. It will be used to evacuate to the main entrance of the Zoo where ambulance will be waiting in case of any incidents.

                5) Teachers will brief the pupils which where to find help and where the teachers will be sleeping at night.

                6) Pupils have to bring fork and spoon & water bottles.

                7) Pupils can get drinking water from water cooler points and they are easily accessible. Only at night, the tent area is not accessible to drinking water, so pupils will be told to fill up their water bottle b4 they go to sleep.

The above are what Mr Goh informed me. School will prepare a checklist on dos and dont’s and what to bring to the pupils soon.

lucky her results are ok...Initially I was very worried for her Maths as she has many calculation mistakes in her workbook.
Not able to find out much about Zoo camping from the Form teacher..I think I will wait for the letter to get more info.
