        Hi ciheal,

Think from this year onwards, the p1 and p2s only have SA 2 which is the yr end exam. The rest of the year, the school is doing holistic assessment where there are quite a number of bite-size tests, show & tell, poem recitation etc.

lostbunny - this year only p2 has sa2 so as to ease them into p3 next year where there will be ca1&2 and sa1&2. don’t think p1 has sa2 this year. as for next year, am not so sure. the system is forever changing.

            hi vlim,

do u notice the school has added in the CA1 Science marks to the SA1 Science marks? I was told by the FT during the Parents Teachers’ Conference that CA1 Science marks will not be added. But now it is a different story.

Cos FT said P3 pupils 1st time study Science, CA1 is just to let pupils have a feel…so the marks will not be added to SA1.

I also not sure lah..I saw on the sa1 there are many small small break down marks that will take up 30% the whole SA1 marks..I supposed those are the daily assignments...
So I feel that it is not easy to score high for Science (at least not for my dd  ) with so many components or assignments to be included in it...
Will find sometime to email or talk to the Science teacher to understand about the curriculum..
                :skeptical: 😓

my dd’s Science teacher is also her FT…at times when I sms, email FT, FT nvr responded. Then I left msg with general office to request FT to return call, FT also didn’t call. I find that this FT is either busy or really bo chap type…sigh!
