      vlim:
I think we should not compare with gep holding schools where most of their top scorers are geppers ...

Oh yes, I wasn't aware of that.

      Let me analyse again...

There are 9 GEP schools, namely:
      Anglo-Chinese School (Primary)\tBoys
      Catholic High School (Primary)*\tBoys
      Henry Park Primary School\tCo-ed
      Nan Hua Primary School*\tCo-ed
      Nanyang Primary School*\tCo-ed
      Raffles Girls' Primary School\tGirls
      Rosyth School\tCo-ed
      St Hilda's Primary School\tCo-ed
      Tao Nan School*\tCo-ed

That means we can still compare with Pei Hwa, Rulang and Kong Hwa.

From the percentages posted, it seems we are on par with Rulang and Kong Hwa, but Pei Hwa apparently produces at least 2x more students scoring > 250. What is Pei Hwa's secret?

Even the highest score in MBS is relatively low. The neighourhood school next to my block has a highest score of 275 (min) for the past few years. It is indeed worrying. I m just thinking aloud, are the teachers overworked? Did they all spend too much time and energy on the opening ceremony and the many camps? Is the P leaving?

Before the school closed, I sent a complimentary letter to my dd's CL teacher and cc to the P, thanking them for the wonderful effort put into the CL n cc program. There was NO reply or whatsoever from them. Talk about emphasizing on showing gratitude at the prize giving ceremony but the P or teacher herself isn't displaying any manners!

The child don't need to put on school uniform during the orientation. We, parents will also has to attend the talk to prepare your child for P1 next year. Basically, the children will get to know their form teacher, the surrounding of the school and what they expect the first day.

Admummy, the school bus will only call in the last week of Dec to inform what time they will come n pick up your child and where’s the pickup point. I recall at the orientation, the kids were given a name tag and also a sticker w the bus no (eg 2 for bus 2).
