Usually more lower primary kids will come in traditional costume than the older upper primary kids who prefer to wear PE attire. My p3 boy told me he is going to wear traditional costume to school for the last cny this year and my p5 said he is going to wear just PE attire next Fri.

In my case, the P4 and p5 are going in PE attire as I can not find traditional costumes that fit them. My p1 is going in traditional costume.

Now that p3 to p4 won’t change class and also likewise for p5 to p6, i wonder if the teachers also remain the same for the two years? (hopefully not)

I was told during the morning with teachers session that will most likely be the case. I hope the CL tr doesn't follow through.

                7788,

Paiseh... I actually think otherwise. I hope my P5's teacher remain unchange for both FT and CL. In fact, I am happy with my P4's FT this year as well. Someone new to the school but definitely alot fiercer, experienced which I feel will bring his class to better performance. We are already seeing the difference in how he handle the same group of rowdy kids after a couple of weeks. Don't play play 😉

Did you attend the morning with teacher the other day. The central announcement kept asking teachers to go for staff meeting. However... my girl's FT was still being \"bombarded\" with lots of questions from us. Wonder why they must do the meeting that day.... So rush. We want to catch up with teachers. :?

Maybe the purpose is to chase us off?

Actually I feel the session is too short, imo. I had to send an email to the FT asking more about the small writing task. If we were given slightly more time, I think it will be great if the ft can provide some samples of the portfolio assessment for the writing component and science performance task. On my part, not only do I want to know the exam weight-age, I also want to have a rough idea what to expect and better guide my child. In this way, they don't have to 'chase' us out. 😛

Perhaps I should bring this up to the FT again BUT... I am already very 'famous' for giving feedback. Wrote a very long email to them about the P2 H.A and am glad that the school did changes to it.

                        Dear MBS Parents,

Im very interested to enrol my son in this school, however, I have few concerns, would appreciate if you can enlighten me.

                        1) Anybody knows how can I be a member of the SBF? Just join membership by paying a fee or got to complete series of volunteer work at various temple? Im not staying within 2KM, therefore getting into phase 2B is the only chance.

                        2) How is the workload and stress level? If my boy is just an average child in terms of academic, will it be a struggle for him?

                        3) Is there any religious teaching or daily praying like those christian/catholic school? Im a buddist so it is totally fine, just curious.

                        4) Is this school more to academic driven or charatcer driven?

Sorry if I have asked too many questions. Thank you for your time. 🙂
