kamsy, check the report book. There is a page showing us the average marks, highest n lowest for both the class and the level.

Hi, I would like to ask about the extent of Buddhism influence in the school and would be deeply appreciative if any parent can help me out here. Do they have Buddhism teachings/lessons/exposure?

For the p1s and 2s, the Buddhism studies is during cirriculum time (usually Wed). For p3s and 4s, got to stay back for half an hour every wed for the Buddhist studies. H/w, think this lesson is optional for p3s and p4s. One thing to note is that for p3s and p4s, they have to stay back every wed for Malay class.

Thanks for the prompt response! So the only buddhism teaching/exposure is during the buddhism lesson which the kids can opt out from P3 onwards? Am concerned cos my family is not buddhist.

Also want to ask if the school is confirmed going to fully single session in 2016? Anyone knows for sure?

Is Malay a third language that student can opt for? or it's mandatory for all P3s and P4s?

Yes, kids can opt out from P3 onwards. The buddhist study for P1 and P2 is more like story telling of buddha. From a prince to buddha, etc... Also it focus more on values education. Which I personally feel the values part should apply to all regardless of religion. During my era, there are alot of non-buddhist in the school and btw, there are alot of teachers who are christian but teaching in MBS too.

It is not a third language and it is not mandatory. They are being taught simple malay. But I realised in my kids' case, they are alittle 1/2 bucket and for the P4, he dropped it this year as he has some enrichment class timing clash.... I was telling him that he is only good in phrases that says... \"I will not talk in class again\" since the cikgu punished him to write dunno how many lines ๐Ÿ˜‰ :faint:
