Can any kind parents advise how do we get our children enrolled in Maha Bodhi? I live within 2km but I’m not an alumni. My religion is Buddhism but I’m not a member of any temple or SBF.

You are only eligible to 2C (1-2km) which even no chance to ballot probably. Suggest you choose another school. -

You will be registering in 2020, to start P1 in 2021. See below MOE site which states you can use a BTO address and must move within 2 years after start school. I think you can do that. Usually <1km for 2C need balloting though.

This is my first post and I am new to here, my girl born 2014. Being a kiasu parents I wanted to know more like how to enrol her to Maha Bodhi.
I had just bought the new Ubi grove and will be move in 2022 which my girl should enrol 2021for her p1.
Will that be chance to get in and what other school I can consider for?
We currently stay in Yishun, I do not wish to make a transfer in between her primary.
Can anyone advise and give some ideas.

I would like to find out how i can volunteer SBF. We went down to SBF but couldnt obtain any advice from any staff on this.

Cos there is no option for volunteering

You don’t volunteer at the SBF.
You should volunteer at a temple affiliated to the SBF. -

As i am deciding whether to put my girl (born in 2014) in Maha Bodhi which is a bit far from my place as i stay in Hougang but my hubby is a alumni or should i put her in Rosyth ( which i need to go through phrase 2C but i am within 1km - but not sure will get in as need balloting) ?

Wanted to offer some perspective here as I had 3 dc who graduated from MBS. 2 in JC and 1 in secondary now.

It depends on which part of hougang do you stay. We are in hougang and we had 3 direct buses from MBS. There are alot of MBS students living in the area....
Personally I would go for MBS due to peace of mind as your dc is guaranteed a place in earlier phase. What if your dc don't get a place in 2C??? That was the same thought process for us years ago since I was alumni. I think the opportunity is kind of great....
For us, no regrets on choosing MBS for the teachers, environment, cca and culture... my kids turned out as decent teenagers too. -
Can i also check with you , is MBS very pro chinese language ? If my girl is weak in her chinese is it ok ? Pardon my silly question , all other non chinese subjects are taught in English right ? They also speak English during CCA time right ?
