Last year I was also secretly very happy cos DS had a very strict English teacher. Becos the teacher was very strict with the handwriting, DS' handwriting improved tremendously within a few months. Everytime he had to do English homework, he was very conscious of the need to write neatly else will get scolding from the teacher. But because he was so conscious about writing neatly, the teacher feedback to us during the parent-teacher meeting that my DS writes too slowly

mmm - nice to see you here again! hope your trip was good. i would like that type of analysis which you prefer too. may be we can feedback to the school though it's quite unlikely they would accede to our request. go visit taonan website, they reveal a little more as in the top score for each of their p6 classes.

Hope your hols was good too :lol: Know what..... I am looking forward to the next holiday School just re-open for a week but it felt like a month as the stress is creeping back after seeing the calendar of event. CA1 starting from end Feb. :nailbite: I just missed the school hols.

Now that they have moved on to Holistic Assessment for the Lower Primary (much to my dissatisfaction), I wonder when they will scrap CA. CA are so outdated and it is taking too much time.

I pray my DD has a v gd n responsible n passion teachers thru out her 6 yrs in MBS . I dun expect her to be e top of e top but I seek more of her ability to cope well, needn't to be a best but must be competent. She must njoy learning in sch cum must b self-movtivated

mrs annie teo is quite a nice and caring teacher and was my elder boy’s p2 form teacher. she taught him english. she would give us her hp no to facilitate communication.

hope you have got to know some of your girl’s classmates’ parents and exchanged contacts during the first few days of school last week. then anything can cross-check among parents rather than go to the teachers as the teachers can be busy, so try not to bother them unnecessarily.

Hi 7788,

I fully agree with you on this. While some new age parents might feel that strict/ fierce teachers are passe, I personally pray that my kids will get those teachers. With those teachers, we usually see results as kids are less likely to daydream and are conscious of their behaviour and will work harder.

Eg. P1 level manager Ms Lim. My ds had her as his teacher during P1. She appeared to be fierce and strict (with bionic eyes and ears to the kids) that the P1 and P2 kids fear, but she is a very nice person.
