      MadameMoiselle:

Tootsieroll, im residing in punggol and i went to open houses near my vicinity: Edgefield & Mee Toh. None of them beat MJS (the respectful kids, loads of Ccas, mjs has gym, cleaner environment, updated notice board, great PSG, etc) but academically MJS parked below them. Both r balloting even for >1km. 😞 i hate balloting!

Btw, did u join the PSG fb account?

I think you definitely can get in at 2c. I live in Punggol too. I thought PSG is only available to join when the boy is a pupil?

U live in punggol too? Wow.. Our kids might be together in the same sch bus. The current sch bus fees is cheap - $75 but next yr increase price abt 30%.

I manage to add them as friend in FB~

E3nity: I'd say yes, judging from the fact that it still had spaces in Phase 3 (certainly the past few years!)......what makes you interested in applying for Montfort?

Hi tootsieroll, that will be my final option if i don't get my child in the school i wish he can enter. Moreover i know of student care near the school which is good. My neighbours kids are in Montfort. from their feedback about montfort, the teacher and the school's discipline are strict and systematic. I think my son needs a sch with clear boundaries.. so Montfort is my other option.

Hi e3nity, is the good student care ur refering either glory ctr or dexus student care??

Dexus is located underground… I feel the plc looks v cramp n suffocating. Prefer a more open area concept. Yet to go and see glory ctr. Any comments?

I hv enrolled my son with MJS and hv just registered with Dexus Student Care today. Was recommended by my friend who had 2 children with them years ago, age 19 & 21 now and a neighbour from a nearby block who has one there and another 2 graduated. Called them and went down to view today. Felt very comfortable speaking to the principal and saw the place. Something I like is…they group their children into levels with one teacher each, which I think will be beneficial to my son. My husband and I are in the workforce which makes it very difficult for us to send him for extra lessons or to squeeze in time to coach him in the evening. I’m reluctant to have him work over the weekends. Too young and don’t want to stress him 24/7. Was told by friend and neighbour that they are responsible and was even assured that I will be at ease of mind at work. The place is clean and brightly lit without a musty smell (unlike another I’d visited). They have 2 student care centres next to each other and a childcare at the opposite block which I have placed my younger son on their waiting list! All these arrangements will ease my travelling time. My 2-cent worth!

I think it’s up to you, how often you want to change uniform. I think 2 sets of PE attire and at least 2 pairs of uniform/ socks
