      kabalevsky:
There will be a Learning Fiesta on the 13th of July from 8am to 12 noon

It is open for all pupils from P1-3 and their parents who can join in the games and learning activities together with them. There will be vendors selling educational materials and books as well.

It is also some kind of an Open house as it is open to parents whose kids will be in P1 in 2013.

I am looking forward to it!

How many of you are going as well? πŸ™‚
      Good Morning Kabby πŸ˜„
Thanks for sharing - Yes, I have signed the consent form for DD2 and will be going with her on 13 July 2012! :rahrah: :rahrah:

Looking forwards to it as I don't remember having that during DD1's P1 time 3 years ago πŸ˜‚

There will also be showcasing some CCA activities so probably DD1 might also be in school although that day the upper primary are requested to stay home for E-learning πŸ˜‰

My son will be in Pri 1 next year. I’ve yet to decide on the school. However, CPS is one of my choices as I stay within 1km from the school. Being a FTWM, after school is one of my considering factors. Do you know of kids who are in Ace? Are they happy to stay in school till evening?

            Hi Tarztarz,

At the recent Learning Fiesta (last friday), the student care set up a booth in the canteen. Did you visit the school?

I often go to pick my son up from CCA at around 5.30pm at least 2x a week, so I often meet parents who go to pick their kids from Ace. the kids look happy to me. But I don’t have firsthand experience on what they do in the student care.

I was at the Learning Fiesta about 9.30am. I saw a piece of paper "ACE" at the canteen but no booth. What a pity.

Oh, thank you for replying my post. Did your son give any comments on the student care? I understand that the student care will be taking in 40 students next year. Registration will start only in 13 August.

Hi tarztarz, my girl is with ACE. πŸ™‚ She's happy with student care, even wanted to go back to join her friends after the learning fiesta and asked me go home first. πŸ™‚

ACE provide lunch and tea break (breakfast also during school holidays or any day they need to open 7am-7pm). Kids will do homework first (if there is any, seems P1 has little homework now), then do some accessment provided by ACE (we paid $100 per year for those materials). Every Wednesday afternoon have one speech and drama lesson. Usually they have 1-11/2 hour nap (but no mattress, can only rest at the table, that's my concern and hope they can implement sleeping on the sleeping bag soon). sometimes they can go outdoor play if weather is ok, or watch DVD before going back home.

Thank you for replying my post. I feel more assured. Did you have chance to suggest resting on sleeping bag? I do support the idea.

                    U r most welcome.

Ace did a survey two weeks ago about sleeping bag, need majority of the parents support the idea then will implement. Parents bear the cost. We are still waiting for result but my girl told me do e parents say no. 😞

You mean most parents prefer not to have sleeping bag? How do kids in other student cares take their nap? Any idea?

Sorry, typo error. I mean some parents say no. Now they just sit at the table and use a small pillow to support the head to rest on the table.
