Anyone knows how did Rulang fare for PSLE this year?


Heard top scorer 283.
Did the school share any other info such as
- no. of students above 250 or 4A/A*
- passing rate etc.

22% of PSLE students scored more than 250
11 pupils scored 270 and above
100% of pupils taking standard papers made it to Sec schools.

The source came from PSG FB.
I think Rulang did great ! I'm impressed.

My boy been offered a place for school transfer to Rulang in P4 next year. He is currently Xingnan first class student, who will enjoy special treatment in some enrichment program. I am still not sure his class allocation in Rulang . I am in dilemma in making decision for the transfer.

Anyone can give advice??

What are you expecting & what are you prepared for?

My gal transferred in P4 to RL together with another classmate. Both were top 10 in their previous Sch. Both were fortunate enough to be allocated to best class in RL. While my gal has managed to remain in best class & still top 10, her friend has dropped to 2nd class in P5 & almost into 3rd class.

For my gal, she has lost her leadership opportunities (was supposed to be a councillor in P4 in precious sch) as she had to start afresh. In addition, she was passed off in other areas cos unproven & not vocal enough. It was only in P5 was she being noticed.

I dun know about Xingnan, but RL is definitely of higher standard, more drilling, more stressful & more discipline than my gal's previous school. I have not compared between different classes in RL, so I can only speak of the top class.

My gal had looked forward for more challenges so RL was good for her but emotionally she did encountered some difficulty & required some adjustment. Fortunately she overcame them so no regrets in our case. However every child is different & what they will encounter will differ too. It's a decision only you & your son can make. So all the best to whatever you decide. :love:

Can you share what are the books which you are packing for your kids who are going to primary one? As during the Rulang's orientation, we are not provided with the time table.

You may refer to the orientation kit.. it mentioned somewhere to bring all subjects 1A textbook, etc.. cant really remember all the list.

I recalled p3 and p4 are using the Lower Block Science. Those topics not covered in p3 will be taught in p4.

Sorry, I should have said 'my son is going to transferred to Rulang next year (2013). Different school is teaching different topic for Science so I just want to find out which are the topics Rulang has taught for the P3s. Thks.
