      In p5 & p6, the top 3 classes are R, U & L classes.

I think next year should be the same too.

        so P3 & P4, there's no top 3 classes? Or are the top 3 R, U & L as well?

          Hi RRMummy,

Finally the orientation is over, damn tiring.... my DD nearly ๐Ÿ˜ข due to separation anxiety...haha....but she was proud she didn't when another girl ๐Ÿ˜ข in her class. Guess that's the problem for girls?

Yah, I just got to know about the SPI bag and went for a look at United Square. Bought the Active model, simple design and can secure at the waist to provide more support. For those who are interested, there's also a blog on it:

          http://kidzo-galore.blogspot.com/search/label/SPI%20Bags

So now busy with labelling & sorting out the textbooks... realised there's not enough book cover for those optional textbooks that we've bought. Guess have to go back again...

          RRMummy:
          gaagaa:

Yesh, letter received, class also...hee... not sure if our DD is going to be in the same class?

Getting excited... now searching for a good school bag to hold those tonnes of books... heard that SPI bags are good... r u getting one?

Let's see tomorrow! ๐Ÿ˜„ I'm also getting excited.

Yeah, I heard SPI and Deuter. Haven't go check it out yet but saw this great sharing from Tinkerbelle that there is offer for SPI bags in Kinderfun. Below is the sharing in the Preparation for P1 thread:

          :celebrate:
          Tinkerbelle:
          Hi everyone,

For those who haven't bought bags for your DDs yet, Kinderfun is having a sale from today till 21 Nov on SPI and Logo bags.
$40 off all models except for new arrivals. After discount, the bag works out to be about $89-$99.
All new arrivals have 15% discount.
There are also llimited old designs which cost $69 only. A bargain.
Kinderfun is at Centrepoint, 5th floor & at United Square, 2nd floor.

            Hi ttyh,

Congrats to u! I heard it's not easy to go to top 3 classes! And once in there, the teachers assigned are better!

Oh, forgot to teach my DD how to handle the toilet door lock, hope she can manage.

            :celebrate:

congratulations; one of the top 3 classes (?)

That's what ds told me. Dunno how true. But he and 3 of his friends (top 4) went to the same class, so I guess it should be true[/quote]

In p4 and p4, the top 3 classes are the last 3 classes. In this year, the top 3 classes in p4 are p4j, p4h and p4g. The top 3 classes in p3 are p3h, p3g and p3f.

The Sch changes d top classes every year? How do d parents know which are the top classes then? Or is it the Sch purposely doesnโ€™t want parents to know?

The kids will know! And they even know who (the teacher) is teaching which class. Or, maybe my dd is such kay-poh that she can tell me that?

At the end of p3, p4 and p5, the marks of the students will be arranged so that the top 40+ will go to the best class, the next 40+ to the second etc.

In the best class, at the end of the year, the bottom end will have to move out of this class, maybe to the 2nd or 3rd best class. In the 2nd and 3rd best classes, the top and bottom ends have to move either forward or backward, if you know what I mean.

                  This moment is really nail-biting.

I think this practice is quite common in other schools too.

Ya, my dd Sch reshuffles d class at every level according to results. But they top 2 classes will be the same for all level, as in the name for d class. Eg, for P3-P6, best class will always be R and U. Less confusing for parents ๐Ÿ™‚

                      Hi Parents,

For Primary 1, will the Teachers be keeping the school Textbooks in class too?

I think it depends on the teachers. Most activity books will be kept in the classroom. Don't you need to bring back the textbooks to STUDY ?
