Will the choice of CCA affect selections of secondary school after their PSLE. I just want my DS join one which doesn't require him to stay back most of the days so it will not disturb his studies. 😓 Not sure better for him to join sports or uniform group. 😞

The CCA is usually held on Mon OR Fri. If you are in the school team, then it is likely to return to school on Sat for more practices.

Hi Starlight1968sg, agree with you. But I've seen some teachers really damn fierce all year long and keep scolding the kids, putting them down. Luckily that teacher I've seen in my DD's childcare was \"fired\".

Hi starlight1968sg, thanks for your concern, my DD is doing fine with the great help from a sweet P6 girl who brought her around the school. But today is the last day, she still duno the way to the canteen and back to her classroom 😞

btw, do they have a buddy in class to go for recess together? Not sure if my DD is taught by your DD's favourite teacher? My DD just said her Chinese teacher is very fierce...

I hope parents can understand that the teachers have to put up a fierce front to control the class. Some kids are really playful and if the teachers are not fierce on the first day, discipline can be an issue very soon.

Hi RRMummy, I hope my DD can find her female buddy in class soon who she can click with... she's sitting next to a boy instead of a girl...hmm...

Dun worry, she'll find her favourite food to eat if she's hungry. My DD can't wait for Monday to come to eat her favourite prata!

          Hi gaagaa,

I suppose they have made some friends in class and would likely move around together... go recess together..

Duno my gal can decide what to eat and which stall to buy from or not...

The Jap food is quite expensive - oyako don at $1.50. Dd is thinking hard whether to eat because her daily allowance is only $1.50. 😉

🙂 am also hoping that my daughter can handle her recess well tomorrow.

Really appreciated the P6 students helping out.

For P1, I thought most of the information (given out in sheets and sheets) should be in the orientation book. Routine requirements like what books to bring, submission of photos, etc..do not need to be made known only when school starts, right?

The p1 kids each made a thank-you card for the p6 pupils who have helped them. So sweet and nice!
Yes, during the initial stage ie sch just re-open, a lot of admin work to settle, so it is quite messy and disorganised.

                    Hello P1 Mummies,

Did you all recevie the letter for the P1 Meet the parent session on 14/1 (Next Fri) 5-6.30pm? This is not a one to one session right? Are mummies going ah? Is it worthwhile to go there? If they only talk about those visions thingy then it will be a waste of time right…dunnoe whether it will be a fruitful session…any comments?

If I were you, I would go.
Aren't you keen to know the form teacher and mother tongue teacher, know more about your kid in the class, and maybe get to know some parents etc?

but I am not sure whether it will be all the P1 children parents be meeting together or it will be class by class basis. If all together then it will be less likely the teacher can comment on each kid right? Anyone has any experience on this P1 meeting parent session? TIA.
