I’m going to register my son in Hong Wen, but I did not do any voluntary work. The only thing i have is my house is within 1km.


Do you think I will successfully register my son into Hong Wen Primary School?

What is the success rate by the look the the available vacancy currently.

As what I know. There are 56 vacancy for Phase 2C.

Please advice.

All I know is that there is usually balloting within 1km under Phase 2C for HWS - has been so for the past few years.

This year, competition MAY be a bit stiffer becos Cityview @ Boon Keng is populated - those staying there are also under 1km.

Consider carefully the choices you have. Good luck!

you can call benjamin to check out yah... or e-mail the PV form which is found in their webby...

now the PV activities are meant for the Yr2006 kids, i.e register next yr P1 yah... so maybe you gotta \"wait\" till 2013 to start your PV.... but me being FTWM, me sent the PV app form in Yr2009... and got the 1st PV activity in Yr 2010, so no harm trying to apply earlier yah... @ least more time to complete the 40hrs...

The sms is for if there's a need for ballot. Other mummies from other schools in earlier phase had rec letter from their schools informing them about orientation. I guess it will be the same for us, so just have to wait for the letter to notify us when to settle admin stuff like giro application, buying of bks, uniforms, etc, and orientation for the kids and us.

Hope the letter arrive soon, planning a trip before DD1 starts P1

Usually, the 2C attracts 85-110 applications for under 1km. You have to leave to fate.. Very little that you can do now.

anyone can share how to be pv in hong wen & when to submit my application? my girl born in 2008 and will need to register her for P1 in year 2014.

Please submit your application when your child hits K1. The submission period is between Jan to April. You have to complete the 40hr service between his K1 to June K2 year.

You will receive a notification by August. Subsequently, a letter in Oct to inform you about the Orientation and the registration doc required.
