Sigh…even though I don’t send my kids to BASC, but I basically hate balloting becos it’s pure luck. Something I don’t have.

Perhaps they should assess on need - whose kid need BASC most. but yes, that will be subject to personal determination and there will still be unhappy pp.

Happen to see this in sistic. Any ideas if the school will bring our kids there to support?

Melodies of Classic Virtues: San Zi Jing & Di Zi Gui

Experience classic Chinese texts in a completely new way in a performance of specially composed modern musical interpretations of the two classic Chinese texts San Zi Jing (Three Character Classic) and Di Zi Gui (Standards for being a Good Student and Child), which have traditionally been used to educate the young on moral values and ethics.

Conducted by Maestro Tsung Yeh, this concert features original music written by famous Chinese composer Xu Jian Qiang, melodious voices of the Victoria Junior College Choir and children from the Hong Wen School and Nanyang Primary School, as well as vocalist Yu Ji Xing. Professor Qian Wen Zhong, a renowned scholar from China and host of the popular Lecture Room television series, provides an added dimension to the performance with his narration and interesting anecdotes and stories.

I checked with pro teach what other alternative if we failed the ballot. They do have other branches in toa payoh and serangoon for after school care. But student will need to take school bus there.

For parents who really need the after school care service can also check out other childcare centre nearby. I found one nearer my house but rate is slightly higher than pro teach and need to take school bus from HW.

                  simsl_sg:
the pro-teach after school care next year, only left with 13 vacancy and ballot on orientation day at the hall. Do submit your names for ballot on that day.

Hi simsl_sg, is it confirmed that there are only 13 vacancies? My wife called pro-teach sometime back and she was informed that no registration was allowed until orientation. She was also told that it will be first come first serve on orientation day.

                        hi keen daddy,

same reply that i got as your wife when i called earlier on right after the 2B registration. I was thinking if first come first serve basis, then 18 Nov must quickly queue up first.

I called up again last week, they said now is by ballot due to expected "over demand". Hope we will be successful on this, keeping finger cross.
