i think as hws parents, we ARE part of psg. Just that if you want to join their committee or be rep or what, lionheart should be able to help.

On top of that, during orientation, parents may be given a survey form of sorts, can indicate there if they want to join the psg in planning/executing activities.
        Hquek is right. .

Since 2008, PSG in Hong Wen no longer represents a group of parents.. it is for all. Thus we strive to have more parents involved in execution, planning and volunteering. We want to organize a richer program for us and our children.

Only white shoe. (1) black shoe is not suitable for indoor sport hall. (2) try to match it with uniform, white is still better (3) a matter of discipline and hygiene consideration.

I know it's good for discipline but so wish that will go with the other colour :rotflmao:

haha.. i love black too. The argument from school makes sense too. Perhaps you all (new P1 parents) can convince the school thru future P1-School dialog. :).

From my experience (sleeping psg), if one wants to be actively involved, better have your number lodged with the committee. there should be opportunities galore. Sometime this year, they did post some activities on ksp for which help is needed - so that is another avenue.

Not sure if able to check the prices of the food at the canteen on Fri....

Parents pls share, what's the price range for the cost of food in the canteen?

                    Which is the popular stall?

How much does a drink cost? Green tea, milo?

                    Thanks thanks. 😄

Planning the amt to give to DD1. Understand food will be catered for 9 days but after that still need to estimate how much money to give her per day.

depends on what your child likes to eat (or not eat). I think roti prata with egg is $1.20 (thereabouts). For drinks, they sell by the plastic bottle/packet drinks - that one easily $1 or close maybe? I think a cup of fruits is 60cents.

so far I give DS $2 a day and he doesn’t finish it (becos our friend don’t eat mostly). water bottle comes in handy (also dun like him to drink too much sugared drinks).

Despite all this, recess is short, I think most kids rather spend the time at playground/field than queuing and eating.

$1.50 will suffice. Matter of fact, HWS canteen is among the cheapest in SG. One of my concern is Tit-bits and Soft Drinks are available in canteen but it is necessary evil.

My DS2 spent alot on those stuff. sigh.
