Maybe last yr had the holistic assessment to brief so they organised a session for P2s. I know you said you forgot liao BUT do you remember if they talked abt streaming ? If they did talk abt it means this yr meant have but if they didn't then this yr might not have and I have to wait till tea session liao

can see you enjoy drinking tea (hee hee). Yes, there was some emphasis on the holistic assessment and what we should be expecting. The various subject heads also went into detail as to what to expect/prepare (that part I'm hazy).


There was some information shared about assessment and the various areas (talking about academics now).

On streaming, no. I don't recall much conversation about it. What were you expecting leh? curious.

Remember, my memory regards these type of talk talk sessions is foggy at best. so I stand corrected.

Totally forgot about DS2 health check and vaccination until yesterday he told me he got 打针 - a bit too late for preventive measures (drink ginseng water etc). haiz... :sad:

As to the injection, I follow my hubby's aunt's advice. Will give Panadol after each vaccination

dear parents, I'm keen to subscribed to one of the science mag for my P1 girl. Which would you recommend? I bought an issue of Magic Schoolbus for her before, and she wasn't too keen.

My kids like both YS and the SA and DD1 has been reminding me to subscribe to both. So this yr, will subscribe to both and at the end of the yr review again.

What abt the Chinese iFlashbooks? The slip said it is optional to subscribe - is this supplementary to their textbooks? Or a nice to have?
I tried not to be kiasu with all the subscriptions else they end up as White Elephants on the bookshelves

The iFlashbooks is interactive textbks. Dd1 is ok to read the printed Chi text and story bks so not subscribing.

My kids go thru the YS very quickly. I usually subscribe 1 level so don't mind 2 titles. Last yr dd1 had the chance to read Level 1,2 and 3 of YS. She wanted level 2 this yr. So will be getting level 2 for each title.

DS bug me for YS so I’m subscribing this year. I made DS1 read SA in popular - levels 3 and levels 4 (he reads level 3 of YS); to try out. He didn’t like it but could not tell me why. So I dropped the idea.
