1) firstly, the bus vendor doesn't want to take my DD as our place is not on the route
2) secondly, the after school care in HW says vacancies are on balloting system due to over whelming applicants last year!

Almost wanted to give up the idea of sending her there even though in phase 2A2. Luckily manage to find a after school care in potong pasir which also provide transport to pick DD up from school!

Really didn't know the are so many areas to consider and coordinate when sending our child to primary school. And this is just the beginning.......

Hee. You quite lucky already. Other parents in later phases have to consider if they can even register in the school. If you can wait, put your girl on waitlist. You may have a place and she wont have to take the school bus.

try putting on the waitlist for after school care at HW. I was on queue and lucky manage to get the chance.

the school bus will have an assistant wait inside the school (designated place). This assistant will wait for students taking her bus and then walk the kids to the school coach/bus.

Hi parents with kids taking sch bus, can I ask wat time the sch bus normally reach the sch? My dd was telling me she has to "camp" outside her class becos the sch has yet unlocked the classroom since she is the early batch to arrive. The sch bus picks her up at 6.20am n shld reach sch before 6.45am.

Understand my friend’s kid (staying less than 2km away) also the same (reach school around 645am).

my girls sch bus has changed the pick up from 6:30 to 6:45 yah… so she may reach hws aro 7… we are staying within 2km…

and the come back home time is rather late yah, mon-thurs, hws end class @ 1335hrs… the sch bus reach the drop off busstop aro 1410, sometimes late 1420 kinda…

There was a time she would reach school at about 645am. She would leave her bag in class and go to multi-purpose hall to do her silent reading. Sometimes she will jalan jalan to the canteen before going to the hall.

If the classroom is looked, the students can stay in the canteen but must go to the multi-purpose hall at 7am.

The hall is now use by the P6 during the SA period, so if the classroom is locked, your child can go canteen. Or you can feedback to the school abt it.
