Hi,


Any parent here know what was their last year PSLE results. I could not find any Hong Wen’s past years PSLE result.

I’m thinking of Hong Wen for my daughter.

thanks for the advice. How can the school be so blur to have the wrong email. Can i check with you if you have tried traffic duties? i noticed that the duties are really short (very hard to clock the hours) and if they need alot of parents for this.

dunno, maybe typing error?

Have not tried traffic duties. You should really aim for stuff like mid-autumn festival (usually 4++ hours each time, and if they really hard up, 2 parents can go down together - but can only pray for these). Excursions also good, typically 3-4 hours each time.

Although some of those duties seem very short duration, if these are long running, you have certainty there in that you sure can meet the time. If you have the luxury of time (to wait), then by all means just go for the heavy duty ones. If you are running short of time, better to grab anything you can - even if it's just the little hours type.

and he said there's a NEW PV form to fill up yo... as me'd submitted the old ones...

Don't worry (though I did). they will have bring the kids out (usually 4 hours). Best was the mid-autumn...8 hours I think. just make sure your email is always on...then can react fast.

I think the supply for pv work is there, so they can afford to be more 'picky' with the timing. In any case, we've got to bend to their will...so no choice. Yah, go right up and re-submit your forms.

what is parents group? My kid is not in this school yet leh.

wow some parents must be monitering their email 24hrs, till now I have not managed to sign up for any of the activities, at this rate not sure if I can clock in enough hrs before 30 Jun

I find Hong Wen is one of the schools that follow the general guidelines, for timing of applying for PV according to birth yr of child, set by MOE. There are schools that closed the dateline so much earlier, even a yr earlier than the stated guidelines which I think is not fair to parents who read the guidelines stated by MOE and apporach the school at the appropriate time according to their child’s brith yr.
