Understand that the school starts at 7.15am and bell ring at 7.30am. What happens if student late, say come after 7.30am, will be punish?

Hi, I m quite new here. I have 2 kids in HWS and recently I was told that they have difficulty getting food in the canteen cos everyone is cutting queue. Therefore, my kids (P1 & P3) have requested for packed food for this week. Just wondering if your kid/s facing the same problem?

Yes! My DD (P1) has even complaint to me that the upper primary kids always like to cut the queue and she even pushed down by one of them.
Thereafter, I've been preparing lunch box for her after since the buddies system kick off. -
My son was buying food on his own from the canteen after the buddy system stops. I encourage him to do so & he was fine all the while except lately… He told me most of his classmates now also bring packed food because they all have the same problem, can’t get food as they are being pushed & squashed. Poor P1s… any other parents having the same concern?

Does HW have Prefects maintaining order or helping the younger ones?

Curious that the vendors did not voice some friendly warnings to the older kids. If more and more younger kids are bringing packed snack, it would affect their biz

Last night, I try to ask DD to buy food from the canteen again. She replied me this : Mummy, it it NOT EASY. DD never buy food from the canteen before. Maybe she see the situation she scared already… Refuse to try.

Asked my boy yesterday about queueing and buying food. He solemnly told me that his FT told them to tell the queue-cutting kids to go behind if anyone tries; and that he hasn’t met with queue cutters.
Thus far, mine is mostly on home pack food, but lately he’s started to want to buy food from canteen and I’m ok with that.
Hmm, I think I should let him know what to do if pp try to push him. Pre-empt so he won’t be so blur.
And btw, my kid not that studious afterall. Tells me after food, he’ll race to the library to check out the books and then go to the field to have some fun before class starts…haizz, and I was thinking he loves library so much.

Extract from HWS webby:
What’s On?! The MRL’s Walking library is on every Tuesday and Thursday. Come and join us and browse for books at the Amphitheatre! We are screening the following films at the Eye Village during recess on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays:
-Cloudy and a chance of meat ball
-Wall-e
-Meet the Robinson
-Journey to the center of the earth
I think none of the children who loves BOOKS n TV can resist the temptation of not rushing to the MRL   DD is one of them.
