      KP29:
P1 Chinese Spelling - I noticed in my DD's chinese spelling book that only hanyu pinyin are tested. Does anyone know why the kids don't have to write the chinese characters for spelling?

P1 only learn hypy. They will learn the characters later. Think in 2nd term P1 or next yr P2.

          Hi

Does anyone know if the streaming for P2 into P3 classes is based on all subjects including Chinese or is just based on English and Math?

When do the kids in NAPS start Higher chinese?

Mon - Wed (English) - Have subscribed to some monthly kids magazines, plus P1 teacher also bring them to borrow books from school library, plus some books from home....should be enough
Thur - Fri (MT) - They have the chinese-story books whereby they will exchange once a week, this is already good enough

Which class is your child in?

                  Good Day!

My wife & I are seriously considering this school for our son next year. We would sincerely appreciate some feedback about the school from parents of current students please? Impression of the school academic and non-academic standards, facilities, staff attitudes, good and bad experiences, etc.

This would help us a lot in our decision. Thanks in advance!

Thks. My boy is in tenacity.
I wanna get him hook onto a series. Like i was hooked to nancy drew last time. Motivated me to read.
He is so selective and he judges the book by its cover. If he thinks the cover looks boring, he insist the story will be as well.

not sure whether the students will really do their silent reading.....at least for sure my sons don't read chinese books on Thur & Fri, because when I asked them, what is the story about...their reply....
                      \"I don't know\"
