my hb heard from the previous batch of Pv that MTS is planning to have student care next year. but nothing is cfm as yet.

i do feel all your anger and disappointment.

myself and my hb take turns to do PV in Mee toh since last mth.
i called Mee toh in 2010 to ask when they usually start accepting Pv for 2011. btw, my child is born in 2007.
they told me registration starts usually in July. so in 2011 May, i called again. they told me in July 2011. i called in July 2011 and was told form not ready. ask to leave my contact and they will send the form to me.
2 weeks later i called again and they say they will send me the form, which i did. and submit the very next working day which i am already at Q no 26.

lucky for us, we get to do the PV this year.
but whether we will get the seat at P2B next year is another worries.

for grassroots, what i heard is you have to be active for 3 years from the date P1 registration starts.
for clan, i think have to be active in the temple for 2 years.

Congrats on able to got a place in PV.

Allow me to tell you about my effort.

I tried to go for PV, I submitted my form, but I do not even receive a call and when I called back. All PV had been taken up, while I am still in the dark.

What I did next, I try the grassroot route. GUess what, their weekly meeting falls on Thursday while every Thursday I got my weekly conf calls meeting at night.

I only manage to attend at most 4 to 5 sessions of meeting and volunteered my few days during the last GE running around flats with the MP (Ms Penny Low) and selling of bricks for the CC.However, due to my attend rate, I am not qualify for the letter from Grassroot route.

Even with doing some grassroot service, my wife knew our chance is low due to my attendant rate. She has a backup plan to be a member of BL for the BL route just in case.

It turn out, we have to use the BL route and the result we all know about it.

Btw, Being a grassroot voluteer. I know Grassroot leader whom services are also around a year also got in 2B phase for thier kid at MTS. Therefore 3 years of grassroot service is not valid.

All these injustice and unfair incidents encountered by the parents here, do you all bother to ask for a reason from the school?

Another point is that are all those BL route rejected parents are those joined BL for less than 1 year or fulfill the 2 years criteria. We need to get the facts right before we can claim back our justice and fairness from the school.

so this year ard May i called every 2 weeks to make sure i am in the loop.
and finally, got the call before june holiday.

i agree with 2 snoopy. maybe shd find out what are the criteria for both BL and grassroots to be qualified under Phase 2B.

i read in another thread, one of the parent said that its not necessary for the school give reason for rejecting BL or grassroots leader.

i just hope comes next year, i am able to get a seat under 2B.

Guess I should be more active in calling the school after I submitted my PV form.

Anyway, it is too late now.

I will most probably sending my child to another school for 2C registration.

For Grassroot route, for sure something like a year would enough. I witness it myself.

For BL/Clan route, there seem to be no clear guide line. As I mentioned in my previous post, my colleague whom joining a clan for few months also got in a place for 2B for heir child in another school.

Dun worry about your chance in 2B, with PV you stands a good chance.

With all these complains during this year’s P1 registration regarding clan/grassroot/PV for phase 2B, we hope this problem will not happen again for next year and thereafter. For the other parents whose child is going to be registering in the next 1,2 or 3 years, what is the justice that we will have for the phase 2B. Do we still want to let the school rejecting without valid reasons?

Btw, I did not register my son for MTS in phase 2C which already having 140 applications submitted in day 1.

If the school able sort things out with valid reason, I may consider sending my second son to MTS with BL letter again for 2B next few years.

I will only know my plan in 2 years time when my kid is going to register for pri1 in 3 years time. Pls discuss 2 years later together when I write out. Hope it is not too late for you.
