There's no cutoff point. The top 80 positions from the cohort gets into the 1st 2 classes. Some of the materials are different from the standard classes, eg maths workbook.

Not too sure of the least mark, cos it depends on factors such as how well the cohort scores in each subject that year, plus the total aggregate and they will take the top 80 positions from there. It all depends, just like GEP. 2 years ago, there were only 5 that cleared the 2nd round but this year, I heard its around 9 or 10. You can only gauge from the report book by the end of P2 how well yr child fare. Sometimes, some may be strong in couple of subjects, while others may be stronger in others. Hope you know what I mean.

Thanks Yellowbelt. My hubby is very much worried abt my DD’s class next year.Usually she performed well in the earlier exams.Unfortunately her result during the last term was never expected at all(Especially in Maths). We are unable to come to conclusion what makes her result lower during the last term.Anyhow whatever happened is happened.Hope for better in future.Once again thanks for your kind replies.

                  Hi Fairsian15 and Atmashi

Mine is in 1H too. Nice to ‘meet’ both of you! Wonder how is the form teacher, Mrs Tan Wei Ling. Hope she’s is patient as my son has very short attention span and gets distracted easily.

Perhaps we can share on info/advice in future.

                  Cheers!

                      Hi Estheric,

No experience unfortunately, at my end. Care to share why you would like to transfer the child to FMSP? I believe interviews are quite a common requirement for school transfers, unless the child has some stellar sporting achievement or something.
