          Hi,

Just received a phone call from the General Office to ask us to bring our kiddos down for interview? ( for Appeal of Transfer for my 2 sons | p2 and p4 (2021) Any idea, what we shall take note of?

          Thanks in Advance! Merry Xmas!
Congrats! Some general suggestions (I do not know what questions they will ask):
          - dress smartly (short-sleeved shirt, shorts, covered shoes for the boys)
          - remind them to answer any questions politely and honestly
          - remind them to be on their best behaviour
          - same goes for the adults I guess :imanangel:
          Good luck!

It can be just a casual conversation but it is good to be prepared to answer the following:-

            1) Reason for transfer (reason for leaving current school and reason for choosing Fairfield Methodist)
            2) Interests (academic and/or non-academic)
            3) CCA (current CCA and CCA that he intends to join if he is in Fairfield Methodist)
            4) Achievements

Be positive and show his smile. 😄

            All the best! :rahrah:

              Hello Parents,

It would be nice if someone has info/ suggestion.

We are SPR family and lives in Dover Crescent and our daughter is going to be 6 in 2022. We want to send her fairfield methodist primary school since it nearby and very good. We understand that this school is hard to go in. As for PR we would like to know it even possible to get in and school parent volunteer form only mention that this scheme is only applicable if your child is a Singapore Citizen. If she can’t get in to the FMPS, there is no other school within 1KM.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions and info.

              Thanks

Unfortunately, no chance for SPR. Suggest you cast your net wider for schools under 2km

You can consider New Town Primary School, PRs can get in regardless of distance.

transport is easy, take MRT from Dover to Commonwealth. Or you may even have a direct bus from your place.

Do you think I should try fairfield even though it is very low chance , it is unsuccessful , MOE will assign the next nearest available school ?

It is not very low chance, it is no chance.
If you don’t even have a chance, what is there to try for? Just wasting time and bandwidth.

After Phase 2C, there’s still Phase 2CS. You will still need to pick a school for that phase. For PRs, you will want to avoid Phase 2Cs since the number of schools available is extremely limited.

Agreed. You should not waste precious 2C chance. Find some other good schools with high chance for PR even if >2km.
