Yaye ! Finally registered my child for QPS to start P1 next year 2012. Am terribly excited yet anxious about this new phase of journey for him and for myself. I've had really good vibes abt this school so far and we'll start it on a positive note

Hi I am new to this forum. I want to know more about QPS and when is the open house for 2012 enrollment? Plan to let my son go to primary 1 in 2013.

Hi everyone, we’ve just registered at QtPS! Was really looking forward to our DS starting next year, until one of my friends said "Queenstown has a g**g issue" and to try to get into any other school at all costs. Sounds very extreme and I think she was referring more to last year’s widely reported incidents and where the perpetrators were supposed to have come from rather than anything about the school itself. From what I’ve read from this forum, I think the school is definitely one moving in the right direction, but wondered whether anyone has any views or experiences of this.

I think every school has some issues. Just try to make sure that our kids don’t mix with the wrong clique. I was from a very good school, but all along there are problem teens and g**g, I just make sure I don’t mix with them.
My kids who are studying in QTPS now are doing fine and I like the way the principal and vice principal’s direction. -

- Thanks, kwokwc, very sensible words indeed. I have since spoken to people who live in the area and who know ppl with kids studying in the school and they very much echo your praise for the (new?) principal's approach, and feel somewhat more reassured now...I think every school has some issues. Congrats QTPS on good grade of 273 for the highest achiever

Only a week to go before our DS starts in P1! We attended the orientation day in November, where he went from "so far, so bad" (in his own words) on arrival to laughing out loud during the short session with his classmates and form teacher, so hopefully he’ll be ready for all that is in store for him next year.
Are there any parents out there who live outside of the school bus zone and who have arranged their own private transport? We live in Bukit Timah, and understand from the bus provider that they can only go as far as the top of Farrer Road. -

You may like to refer to the balloting history for Queenstown Pri. here:

Historically, Queenstown Pri. had vacancies even in Phase 3. Hence, so long as you apply in P2C, you should be safe. -
thanks qms...
anyone have any idea on the bus transport for QtP? Like the bus routes, fees and if any from Jurong with kids in QtP and taking Bus transport...
