what achievement are you referring to? if it is PSLE result, concerned parents who attended the principal talk would have known the result. If it is non-academic result, maybe you can try to call the school to find out.Btw, any one know why NC never updated 2011 Achievement in their webbie. :?
Going to be end of 2012. -

Some practices need to be instilled in the culture, like any other organization.

All organization has its own culture.
Individual’s expectation and perception is subjective.
Sometimes when certain things happen, it could be a one-off issue. And one-off issue does not represent the organization culture.
And if there are many similar issues, the next question is : is the issue feedback to higher management via proper channel. If no constructive feedback is given via proper channel, then do not expect change to happen. -
There have been a few cases already, based on posts above, by different parents.
These days, all info should be at finger tips for everyone to see/school to show off. -

i have not really read all posts but a few cases out of 300 - what is the percentage? and also for those few cases, are the feedback given to the school via proper channel? There have been a few cases already, based on posts above, by different parents.

for publishing of info, do you mean publishing of results? if it is, there are different ways of looking at it. For example, when our children have good results, should we publish for everyone to see or do we just celebrate within the family? There are differing views. Some may think \"I am so proud of my children's result, hence, I want to publish it and share it with everybody.\" Some may think \"That's great achievement, let's publish and share with everyone in the family.\" Some may not even publish anything at all. Well, in my opinion, there is no right or wrong in the different ways of thinking. But for sure, i don't think the aim of publishing is to \"show off\" (er....by the way, i don't know what is there to show off), i think it is more like sharing the joy with those who want to know. -

I have feedback this to NC's VP and the reply I got is MOE discouraged schools to publish the PSLE results to stop comparison, since MOE advocates \"all schools are good schools\". Still, I see many schools publish it....Btw, any one know why NC never updated 2011 Achievement in their webbie. :?

I cringed whenever I see schools "advertising" their achievements on banners. So, it’s important to choose a sch that clicks w our value system, among other considerations.

Speaking of feedback, I couldn’t help but express my disappointment in the maths Olympiad & higher CL programs on the survey form ytd. Even gave unsolicited comments on what went wrong. Hope they can improve next yr but think ds scared to hand e form to FT le. Hahaha…
Luckily opt out from e EL enrichment. -
