Hi everyone,
may I ask what day/ time is the school orientation next week? Is it in the morning?
Have you gotten your Boyd's uniforms? Orientation day must wear Sch uniform?? No need right? -

We were lucky enough to get a posting for Phase 3, but have not had the chance to see the school because it usually never opened in Phase 3 so we didn't even take it into consideration. Any comments to help ease our concerns? Is it a good school? Is the Chinese difficult?
Hi Geekgirl
Chinese standard at SGPS should be on national average level. The school does not teach higher Chinese, so for us, I feel it's still manageable. The teachers will guide you on certain story books to buy to help create intrest in Chinese and Ting Xie is once a week.
Homework load for P1 is rather light, so its not everyday that the boys will be coming home with homework.
My boy will be in P2 next year and i can say he has enjoyed his P1 year in SGPS.
Hope you boy will too!

Just to confirm, SGPS does not offer higher Chinese?
Thanks -
Hi Parents,
I am planing to send my son to St. Gabriel in 2019, it seems like there is a high chance to get in for SC.
He is only in K1 this year but I was told by other mummies that he should start Chinese & English enrichment class now.
Just wondering how is the syllabus like in P1 for St. Gabriel, will they be teaching phonic & hanyu pinyin?
If I do not send my son for enrichment now, can he still catch up with P1 syllabus?
Thank you very much in advance! -
Hi parents!
My son is in 1Gen. Any parents here who has a son in the same class? Keen to open up a whatsapp group for 1Gen? PM me your number and I will create a group.

Hi to all parents.
Hope all boys are doing well in SGPS especially for those who enter their 1st year.
As the CNY celebration is still underway, many may still be hanging moods of the festive.
Next as usual will be the coming CA1, and all parents especially those who are with the school for few years will know its going to be a drilling time. While we work hard with the boys, donβt forget to also encourage them when they cannot meet expectations. Continue to walk with them and set realistic goals for them to achieve.
Have fun and enjoy the process.
Cheers to all SGPS parents. -
