      pychan:
can anyone recommend good student care and child care near Yangzheng school

Think there's one just opposite the school. Don't know much about that one except the proximity to the school.

There's another one called Archer's which is a little further away. The owner is a nice experienced lady. She's very 'on' with the current syllabus and organises enrichment activities and classes for her charges. Tel: 62818035.

Is that so? I didn’t know that. How much is the one closer to school charging?

Arranged for DD and DS to take sch bus this year, but both single trips, so it’s very ex… while return trip costs $100, single trip is only $10 cheaper, so it’s $180 for us every month…

Heard that it will be single-session next year. Not sure whether it’s true…

DS seems to be ok with sch so far. He even called his best friend from kindergarten 2 days after sch started, and chatted happily… in contrast, DD who is in P3 this year has never called any friends on the phone before…

My gal is in P1 this year. I am pretty confused with the school dress code. Is it on PE days she will wear her PE attire? What about Wonderful Wednesday? When is the day she will wear her uniform? And Friday it’s always ‘house’ attire?

Another thing are the books. A list was given to us of what are the books and folders we should bring on Day 2 and Day 3. But when she came back on Day 3 she said I did not put in the Chinese books. But those books were not written on the list. Today (Fri Day 4) I pack for her the Chinese Textbook and Workbook A/B which I did not give on Day 3 into her bag. Still she said I missed out another one. There isn’t any list to tell me what books they want to collect.

Besides the chinese book my gal said I forgot to put some of the other books etc…I am getting confused.

Am I supposed to put in all the books from the booklist into her bag and let the teachers take whatever books they want. What about the exercise books? Can someone share please?

                    Monday is School Uniform

Tuesday is PE Attire (because for Class 1B PE lesson is on this day, I guess different classes may be different)

Wednesday is PE Attire (because it is Wonderful Wednesday)

                    Thursday is School Uniform

Friday is House T-shirt (because it is Fun Friday)

To me, \"PE Attire\" means the \"School PE Attire\" and \"House T-shirt\" means \"House PE Attire\". Both can be used for sporting or exercise activities.

                    Hope this helps.

For my gal, her form teacher did not ask the class to bring the Chinese Books for Day 2 and Day 3. So she just bring according to the list given.

As regard to the single-session, the school has not given any committed timeline to what I know. There will be no change to the school compound to achieve single-session, which means the school does not have to move to any temporary holding site to achieve this. The school cuts down the P1 intake numbers in the past few years to ensure sufficient space to transit to single-session.

As the year gets closer to the deadline set by MOE for all schools to go single-session, the probability of YZPS to go single-session gets higher.
