Would prefer to get fruits from canteen on fruits day rather to the supply which comes in poor quality. Mixture of cut fruits with slices of bananas making it all soggy. Apple that was half rotten, and last year pineapples with core and eyes still on. Understand that many a time, children throw them away. Hope the school understands and not force the children to eat up such poor quality fruits.

Heard from kids that fruits were given out a few days ago to make up for the wrong delivery, so that’s good.

And it’s good that their exams are over from yesterday onwards. It was stressful having to revise school work with them…

I didn't realise the principal is leaving. It must be part of those routine MOE postings. Let's hope the new principal will be good as my kids will be having PSLE in 2-4 yrs' time.

            It's Sports Fiesta this Thur...

I didn’t join the parent support group . I think the school welcome parents to help out at the school. I 'm full time working mum. I don’t even have time to attend to parents meet the teacher session.

So far, my girl is coping fine in school.

Actually , going St Andrew has its advantage because of the affiliation up to junior college . But boys can be quite rowdy .
Yangzheng has a mixed ethic group of boys n girls. So a good social mix of students from different family background .

Not sure why the girl didn’t take school bus Liao.

The wushu timing , may be you can call up the school these 2 days to check because holidays liao for my girl . Otherwise, need to wait till school re-open , then she can check with her classmate .

As to whether 1-2 km will definitely get in this year . I m not sure . But within 1 km will definitely get in. It really depend on the number of applicants . But I think the chance shd be quite high as compared to Maris Stella .
In term of homework , not much for lower primary . I leave it to my girl to complete on her own.

If you choose Maris Stella, for sure balloting required for 1-2 km . In time to come, balloting will also apply to those within 1 km due to new condos coming up around the area .

Just asked DS, who said wushu is from 3 pm to 4.30 pm on Thur. He also said that P1-P3 students can join CCAs, but only some (and not all) are opened to these lower primary students. Upper primary students can choose from all CCAs.

We always have to make separate arrangements to fetch kids from CCA as the sch bus does not cover CCA.

You might not be able to reach many people in the sch today or these few days, as the upper primary students are away on camps. My DD in P4 went to sarimbun scout camp and stayed overnight last night (first ever such experience) and will be back by around noon. The P5 students i was told have gone to M’sia for 3D2N, and P6 is in SGP somewhere… P1-3 students had their camp in school earlier in the year and since yest have been at home doing e-learning, as most of the teachers I assumed, have been roped in to help out with the upper pri camp trips.

Essentially, sch hols started early for P1-3…

Maybe can feedback to sch ask them to work with bus operator to ferry those fr CCA back home. Most other sch did that, parents needa pay extra loi. Any idea hw much is bus fees nowadays? I heard easily $150.

So pri 1 camp is in sch lai…

So excited for my boy going pri 1. Really hope he can get into YZ. Btw, do you all know whether YZ assess the kids during orientation? I heard some sch did dat and provide holiday class for those who need it. In which level is HC offer? Tks
