Hello, my boy is going P1 in 2011. any idea how the boys will be grouped into different classes? Is it true they will grouped boys from same Kindergarten? also any feedback on TLC after sch care?

If im correct. i think they go by phases followed by birth-dates.

Eg: Phase 1 will be in P1A (but if got like 50 in phase 1 - they will be spilt by birthdate, ie, those born earlier in the year will be in P1A, then the balance will roll into P1B + those who are born in the earlier part of the year for Phase 2A - to make up to the 30-35 pupils in the class.

Mummies out there.... am i correct?

Hee, i think it may not be by birth dates, unless it was changed last year? But grouping by registration phases is correct. For our year, 1A and 1B were from Phase 1, 1C and half of 1D from Phase 2a, 1E and 1F from Phase 2b and so on to 1I. My son was born before June, if going by birth date he should be in the 'earlier' class of the phase, but that's not the case in our year.

Just to share, for my P2, this term they are doing something interesting for music lessons. The boys with some music background (can read music notes etc) are being introduced to the violin, and the rest are learning the guzheng. Quite fun i think.

Aug babies i think might straddle between the P2E n P2F classes.

              Same with this year's P1 - 2011 (for Phase 2B registrants!).

I think Phase 2C would probably be the same, ie, the younger kids (should be in the final P1 class....) πŸ˜‰

Out of curiosity, do they have to buy the instruments?

I think it may not be by birth dates, cos my boy is a dec baby and there’s quite a number of his classmates with birthdays ranging from Jan to apr.

Oh i c! Can i ask which phase were u in when u register? The reason why I said birth dates is becos I happened to look at the birthday chart in ds class during one of those PTM days n also asked the mummy in the next class for her son's birthdate mth!

I wonder if it is some phase using this method n some others not. πŸ˜‰
