      Hi jellybelly,

Do you have alternative plans then? For me, i definitely need the school bus to fetch my son home --- so now also abit worried in terms of timing!!

Hopefully there would be more 'town' parents so that there might be a chance of a small bus catered to this group of students!! :xedfingers:
Yeah, it would be good if we can get a small bus down to town. Any other town folks out there? Not sure though whether the bus will make a second trip to school and then back to town if say a kid has e.g. remedial class?

Worse comes to worst, I will have to pick him myself...

The other option I considered/am considering is putting him in the after school care opposite the school... I have been down to have a look at the place and have some info sheets but I don't know how to make it available on the forum... anyone can shed some light?

The teachers there will fetch the boys after their after school activities and bring them over to the center... and they have an arrangement with the school bus operator to pick up the kids from the center at 5.30 pm for the trip home...

Okies – For me, i would prefer ds to come straight home after school then maybe CCA days, i’ll prob get grandpa to fetch him.

So, guess prob for me really need to talk to the bus operator during orientation and see what’s the schedule like!

          Hi all,

Can i chk around - is it possible for my whole ‘village’ (aka grandparents, aunties etc) to go down during orientation or is it ONLY OPEN to the parents??

Need to 'orientate" the grandparents around the school cos in case need them to fetch ds in times of emergency.

          Txs in advance.

Hi, my boy will be starting P1 next year at MS. We stay in Toa Payoh and I’m still trying to find out how long is the school bus journey between school and home. I’ve called up the school bus operator but she’s not able to give me an indication.

I would appreciate it if anyone who have kids taking the school bus to/from Toa Payoh can share on the journey time. Thanks

Thanks so much VVJJ. I guess you mean half an hour from time of dismissal, right? Doesn't seem too bad. Is it a big bus or the mini bus?

                  Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum. Very happy to stumble upon this thread when i was doing some research on my son's future school. We are very lucky to be within 1 km and thus spared the anxiety of balloting on friday 13th.

I look forward to interacting with the mummies and daddies here whose single main focus is in the interest of their kids 🙂

I work in Toa Payoh and I see the MS kids reaching the student care at my office at about 2.15pm.

Saw on MS website that vacancies for Phase 2C was 92. It started out as 90 so it meant 2 persons who were successful in earlier phase (most likely 2B) got out!
