bigfoot:
hi bigfoot, i thot u qualify in 2b for st nick?24hr-mum:
bigfoot, i guess if u hv a daughter, wld aim for st nicks....
My DW worried abt P1 if we have a daughter cos her Pri Sch was in Bukit Merah area. Yes, St Nicks would be good but we may have to go in at Phase 2C and U know what will happen if we are unsuccessful. Furthermore, we are more than 2 km from St Nicks. Nearest would be Ai Tong (1-2km). Anyway, like I said, it is a happy problem for me. Haha.
for ai tong, ballotg is within 1km. so i think u cant aim for that. got to aim for marymt convent or kuo chuan, i assuming u stay in bishan. if u move to serangoon, can try PLMGS if u hv a gal
one thing i dont like abt st nick is the late dismissal for my girl. mon, wed, thu is 1.45pm. super late. if i were to shift becos of MS, my girl comes hm even later. lunch is almost 3pm. sigh. so i m still hesitating. what is the dismissal time at MS? -
bigfoot:
maybe bigfoot can try CHS at 2b for ds2. if fail, then appeal to MSH cos got elder bro there altho he missed the earlier phase for siblings.....
Actually if the chance is good, I will try CHS for DS2. This is purely for the sake of convenient. But most likely he'll end up in MSH as well because of the popularity of CHS. Dun get wrong, we love MSH. It is just the distance. Imagine the saving in schoolbus service cost and the extra 30 min of sleep every morning. For now, we will focus on DS1 in MSH first.vicki:
U mean you will try for balloting for ds2 for CHS under 2B? Then if cant get in how??
For me - def all 3 boys will be in MS liao!! Then i can get ds1 to take care of ds2 and ds3!!

my boy ate very slowly in class ytd. Brought the drink and snack back. They never follow the menu ytd so will see how today. hubby with him now.
his uniform got a few stains caused y the under-table rusts!!! -
My boy also got PE on Mondays, so maybe the time-table is quite standard across the level. My school bus came at 5:55am
but I'm really proud of ds1, he woke up without fuss, even easier than during K2 days when he slept until 7am+ This morning, he woke up at 4am :!: and couldnt go back to sleep so we ended up waiting downstairs at 5:45am liao He seems to really enjoy MS, I saw him smiling and talking to his classmates in class too, so happy for him. He's usually a slow-eater too, but y'day he tucked into his food readily and finished it pretty quickly. -
24hr-mum:
Yes, the kids eat inside the classroom, they will queue up to collect their food and then return to their seat to eat after saying grace. Y'day there were parent-volunteers fm the Parents Society supervising them to eat, next week don't know. My son is usually a very picky eater, if I tabao he probably has many, many ideas and objections, but he's ok with the catered food, don't know why, maybe just like to make mummy angry :x
is it the kids eat inside the classroom? got any teacher to supervise them during recess or they are just left alone and choose not to eat the catered food if they dont like that? if its like that then still better to tabao some own food to eat in the classrm -
today’s snack is ‘xiao man tou’!! totally not acceptable!!!

Hi PepperC,Hi parents,

My boy is also in 1I. During the orientation, Mdm Faridah asked which parents would like her to blog for her class and I was one of the very few parents who put up my hand. The response was quite poor then for some reason and she just nodded to say ok.
So I am not sure if she will have a blog this year, though I really hope she would. -
are parents informed of the food menu for reccess?
