Ya, definitely a typo error.....parents' briefing for P1-P2 is usually in the morning. 😉

Did the teacher give out the Term 1 schedules to your gals? or we have to go to the website and check it out ourselves?
My gal didnt tell me anything about the schedule :?
And if not for this forum, I am not aware that there is a Parents' Briefing on the 21st Jan, Fri :slapshead:

      Hi Pepooh,

No, the sch will not give out the 'Schedule of Activities' in an effort to save the environment. Parents are expected to check it out on the sch's website. The Parents' Briefing is mentioned in the schedule so it's important that we check the website regularly. Last year, there was a last minute change in the P1 final year examinations.. Luckily I checked.
Dear TInkerbelle,

Thank you so much for answering to my queries...Much appreciated 😄
Ohhh no...that means must make it a point to remember to check the sch's website regularly.... so 'stressful' hahahah...
Hi everyone,

The latest 'schedule of Activitieds' for Term 1 is out. Go to: http://www.marymountconvent.moe.edu.sg and click on the link.
Remember to print a copy for your reference.

        Haha....think there's a typo error in the parents briefing on 21 Jan. It can't be 9.30 - 11.30pm (shld b am rite???).

Ya, definitely a typo error.....parents' briefing for P1-P2 is usually in the morning. 😉
That's what I thot. Is this held as a general briefing session for all P1 parents? or is this like an individual classroom setting whr the teachers will brief us for each class?

For parents' briefing on the 21st, the principal will address you first in the hall, then you'll get to meet the form teacher in the class , who will give you more info regarding her expectations and what parents should expect. She'll also inform you about how the gals will be assess etc.

Do bring the white board to sch daily or keep it in the locker as your DD will use it regularly. Keep files at home till teacher asks for them. 😄
          Hi Tinkerbelle,

what do they use the white board for? I thot that was for art so din even bother to pack. As for the locker, can my DD put her stuff inside herself? Or do they need the teacher's permission to put thgs inside?

            Tinkerbelle:

Gym is compulsory for all P1 as their PE3 where they learn basic gym moves but the sch also has gym as a specialised CCA. Now, these gals can do somersaults in the air :rahrah: Training for gym as a specialised CCA is more intensive, twice a week. 😓
            Tinkerbelle,

saw fr the term schedule that specialised CCA starts on the week of 10 jan, so roughly when will we know if our gals have been selected?

sorry for the many questions.

My MIL is staying few blocks from Pei Chun so I had ever consider Pei Chun but decided not to use MIL's address in the end. Pei Chun is strong in ethics so we dun think we shld use MIL's add juz to get into the sch. The values juz contradict each other.

Wish u all the best at Pei chun! 😄

I am so used to my son's school where the teachers give out the term schedules to the boys and tell them to bring home for their parents.... 😄

                    Mine is in P1 Responsibility

                        Hi all!

Yes… after 2 days, I’m getting very sotong already, what to bring and what not. DD is in 1 Compassion, any fellow mummies here to share & compare notes for 1 Compassion class?

She got her helpmate, but used it as a diary instead. She told me need to bring English worksheet tdy…"I love my family", but when I whipped out that booklet, she told me whole stack. Thought it’s quite heavy to bring everything there in one go, so we argued over this.

Today is the 3rd day, DD has been waking up late and we got into GSSC only at 10am. I’ve decided that this will be the arrangement since DH’s timing is flexi. I kinda lost track, whose DDs are also in GSSC?

@acjb: If you are the preggie mom with Coach handbag, think I saw you on Day 1.
