Glad to know that ur DD is in the same class as my DD. πŸ™‚ At least same timetable so easier to check with. So what's your DD's name?? Maybe they are buddied together. πŸ™‚

As for the FT, I have not seen her before so can't comments. How about u?

      Hi jesyeo!,
I like our FT she seems genuine and approachable.Very open to communication. My gal is partnered with an Indian gal and she used to sit at table 10,but was switched to 14...so i guess her register number IS NOT the number on the table. My gal is DYSLEXIC as well as DYSPRAXIC so when i spoke to theFT she was super supportive. :imanangel:

Also, our spelling is on Thursday and so far managed to learn 6 words! My gal is taking malay as MT as chinese will be a problem with her condition.
I was pleasantly surprised that she can read some of the words!!!!
What is your gals name?Mine is Iman and she has LONG hair....very kuniang

She will know her register number as her FT would have told her. she will need to write her register number after her name for every worksheet eg. Cinday Chan (16). On the top right hand corner of the Edusave form (Form E3), you also need to write your DD's register number in the Index No. section. Hope this helps.
        Tinkerbelle,

U can buy 4D liao. My DD's no. is 16, same as the eg. u quote for me. 1616 全打 :rotflmao:

My girl just brought back a list of circular on Spellings. So she start SPELLING 1 on next week??

You can email her FT to check when spelling starts. Or write a note in the Helpmate and get your DD to show her FT. Not sure if P1 starts spelling the same week as P2 in week 3.

My DD's (P1 Perseverance) spelling list has a date of 20 Jan 2011 for the first week of spelling. Not sure if it's the date of spelling. Will email her FT to clarify. πŸ™‚

Anyone in your family knows malay language? Otherwise, how to coach her when she runs into some problems with the subject? :?

              Hi funkymonkey,

Kudos to your DD.....already learnt 6 words for her spelling....what an achievement. :ugogirl:

It's great to hear that you find your DD's FT very supportive of your DD's condition. Over the years, I've heard many accounts about the support & patience MCS and the teachers have shown towards kids with dyslexia from my DDs. Btw, is your DD in Mrs Rashid's class?

My DD2's P2 class also having 1st spelling in week 3. But I guess no harm double- checking with your DD's FT.

Usually, all classes in the same level will have the same set of spelling in the same week...just on different days of the week for different classes.

                      Hi can'tbearit,
My husband is chinese and I'm malay. My 2 other kids have been taking Chinese. So far my Ds have doing well enough to get Band 1. My gal has only been exposed to English due to her condition. I can help her with the language but no worries here as she wil not have to do MT in PSLE anyway as we got doctor's approval. Easier for my gal lah...all the strokes in chinese is giving me a stroke!! Malay class also have fewer students and the teacher can focus on my gal better i think....good call right?

                        Hi Tinkerbelle,
Thanks so much for your encouragement πŸ˜„ πŸ˜„
My gal is in Ms Sung's class and I have been very open about my gal's condition to her.She has been very helpful and I am super thankful!!!
Good to know that teachers in MCS have shown patience to gals with special needs.

Btw,i saw a gal with 2 teachers during dismissal the other day and i'm guessing she's autistic. The teachers' spoke softly and kindly but at the same time firmly as she was squirming away....I'm just soooo glad that we got into MCS...
